1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: Not my garden... OUR garden! (massive post w/ tonnes of leafy green veggie pics) on: February 10, 2009 09:11:27 PM
I volunteer in a community garden in a low income neighborhood in my town and it's incredibly rewarding. I get to work with elementary school age kids teaching them about vegetables. We just planted potatoes and onions! Im also trying to get a community garden started on campus at my college, I'll let you know how that works out!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: My first pickles for the year (image heavy) on: January 13, 2009 03:14:22 PM
Some of my best memories from when I was a kid was when I was canning pickles with my Granddad. I think I need to start canning again!
Good Job!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Re: Bird House=] on: January 13, 2009 03:09:20 PM
Super cool. I've found that the basic, rustic looking houses always work the best. Great Job!
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Kiss my Carolina Grits on: January 11, 2009 07:11:00 PM
I am a native Floridian, but most of my family hails from South Carolina, Particularly in St. George, which is known as the Grits Capital of the World!
So I did the classic Kiss My Grits phrase with the Cabbage palm and crescent moon. I ended up giving it to my parents for Christmas and they loved it!
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Old window found on the curb on: January 11, 2009 06:24:45 PM
I really love it. I once saw an old window hung direcly over a bathroom mirror (so you could still use the mirror behind it) That woudl be super cool with the pictures in a few panes too.

Nifty. I have a roll of the sticky magnet you can cut into different sizes, and never thought to use it to make the word magnets. That is supercool.
