1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Lampwork beads! on: September 03, 2011 11:24:11 PM
Hello!

I totally forgot that I made this post Smiley I'll be posting more beads once I get them back...from wherever they are. Ozark - I haven't seen the site before, but it is AWESOME! I've been in a beading (and embroidering) lull here lately, so that's a big inspiration help!
2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Lampwork beads! on: May 30, 2011 06:45:29 PM

I have just started lamp working in the last two weeks or so, and thought I would share some of the beads I've made so far!
The beads here are mostly SCA beads designed to match 9-10th century Viking garb. Some of them (the greens and crazy colored ones) were just for fun. I'm learning how to make and use stringers right now.

Any other Lampworkers out there?

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: A Couple of Harlequins--Cotumes for me and my horse! on: February 25, 2009 06:42:56 PM
I love the top!

I'm currently working on this pattern too for an SCA event, and I'm stuck. Can you tell me what you did on the sleeve? Either I can't do math, or I'm missing the page on how to do them. Any guidance would be MUCH appreciated Smiley
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! on: September 01, 2008 11:48:04 AM
Looking at all of the beautiful tattoos made me want to post my new ones!!

The one with the flowers isn't totally finished yet, its getting a third lily and the letters touched up. Its kinda hard to tell where it is, but its on my thigh, starting right at the bend of my hip and ending about 4 inches from my knee.
My treble/bass is actually a cover up of a tattoo that was posted on the original thread a year or so back, and was happy with it at the time, but later on i REALLY started to hate it. Thankfully my tattoo artist covered it up and did a really great job Smiley there's white behind the treble, but you can't really tell as it needs a touch up.

I also have "verliebt" tattooed on my inner lip, but alas, no pictures - it means beloved in German

Also, upon looking at the picture, the lettering is not nearly as blurry as it looks on the picture. It doesn't really do it justice. Its the last line from an e.e. cummings poem:

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
5  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Re: Lady like fingerless glove on: February 24, 2008 11:05:00 AM
Too cute!

I just got the book last night, and I would love to try these gloves, but I consider myself just slightly past beginner level. How difficult would you say that these gloves are?
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: TUTORIAL: Multi layer stencils. on: February 02, 2007 04:46:18 AM
yeah, the pictures don't work because my site that I was hosting them on shut down, and, of course, I lost the originals. I'll get around to making another multi-layer something here soon, and I'll post up up. Promise!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: LeftHanded Craftsters Swap? on: November 12, 2006 09:18:26 PM
I'd be totally interested.

Actually, I ended up stumbling across lots of neat southpaw sites today, so keep me posted

9  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: plaid saddle shoes..... i love plaid on: October 31, 2006 08:06:16 PM

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Folkwear 123 on: October 29, 2006 04:38:16 PM

So for FLF (foreign Language Fest), I've been appointed by my German teacher to make a Dirndl (the beer girl outfits). I could only find one pattern which is Folkwear #123.

I'm wondering (hoping) that someone on here has done this before and will offer up some help on this mess. This will be the first time I haven't just eyeballed something and made it, so any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!
