1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fused Plastic Beach Bags! on: June 28, 2007 11:11:33 AM
I saw a tutorial for fusing plastic bags together with an iron and i have THOUSANDS of them lying around so had to give it a go!

Here's what i came up with, orange bag front:

I thought these would be great for the beach as the fused plastic makes them waterproof! The only things I'm not too happy with are the handles on the orange bag. I've left the handles off the blue bag for now and if anyone has any better ideas it'd be much appreciated!! Thanks for looking Smiley
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Comic Book Chest of Drawers! on: June 27, 2007 06:31:25 PM
I'm in the process of redecorating my rather bland room and after being inspired by a comic book bookcase i saw on here a while ago decided to attempt to decorate a chest of drawers in a similar way. Hope you like what I've done!
Sorry for the links but I'm new and can't post pictures yet!

This is a picture of another chest of drawers to show the colours before painting:

After comic booking and painting the chest! I used photocopies of my chosen comics to go with the black and white theme.

A close up of the drawer fronts:

Sorry for my messy room in the background too! Any tips for doing more items like this are appreciated as this was my first attempt!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pirate Duct Tape Wallet! on: June 27, 2007 05:14:36 PM
Hey everyone, I was inspired by all the duct tape creations on this board and decided to make my own pirate themed wallet!
Sorry for the links but this is my first post so i can't post pictures yet! Smiley

What do you think? I think i did OK for my first try at using tape, I think I've found a new addiction though...
