1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Upcycled/Recrafted/Recycled Christmas Tree on: July 11, 2012 01:33:10 PM
Hello all!

I wanted to share with you all my latest updated/recycled project in which I took an old Christmas tree decoration that was turning an ugly shade of dark grey and turned into something a little prettier.  Hope you enjoy!

Hey I like this little pig.  The contrasting bow and heart were nice additions.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: stitch marker rings??? on: September 10, 2007 12:08:22 PM
I looked in the jewelry section of my local craft store and just happened to find some closed rings.  You could also use soldered jump rings.

Lizzie,

Try wrapping it around a pencil or other object with your diameter of choice.  Maybe at least 18 gauge in size.

The blue and tan one I really like.  I would so wear it although I'm not sure how it would look on me, but I love it just the ame.  Smiley

Very nice!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: works in progress? on: August 15, 2007 02:59:05 PM
I am working on...

... a bikini from Sexy Little Knits.  I guess I'll be wearing it next summer (along with my unstarted Summertime Tunic).

...a pink dog sweater with a ruffle for my neighbors pet.

...2 of Bobblicious from Knitty.com.  One for me, one for a friend.

I'm trying REALLY hard not to start anything new until I finish the above three.

I like these!  Very nice!  I've always wondered how else you could layout those square links.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: motif blanket on: July 12, 2007 06:18:05 AM
Coming from a person who feels like blankets (etc) should be perfectly uniform, I love the randomness of this blanket.

In addition to it being a blanket, I think it would make a really cute table cloth/table topper of sorts.  I like the idea of that as a rug as well.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Decreasing in 1X1 Rib on: July 02, 2007 11:16:10 AM
and should I do this decrease with the first two stitches? or further in the row?
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Decreasing in 1X1 Rib on: July 02, 2007 10:55:12 AM
It's a sweater for a dog.  It says I need to "Decrease 1 stitch at each side every 3rd row."

Thank you for your input.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Decreasing in 1X1 Rib on: July 02, 2007 08:24:08 AM
Huh Is there any way to decrease in 1X1 rib AND make it look nice?

There are an odd number of stitches (23) on my needle.  I feel like I am making up things as I go along and it does NOT look good. The left side is not a mirror image of the right side.

I am relatively new to knitting (March 07) and any help would be much appreciated.
