1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / found me some cute vintage patterns on: March 13, 2009 07:13:36 PM
I just wanted to share these.
I found them in a box of my stuff from years ago, they originally belonged to my favorite aunt. At the time she gave them to me they would have been too big but I sure am glad I stashed them away!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / kimono for a baby girl on: November 25, 2008 11:19:35 AM
I made this for my brand new niece who was born on November 11.
The pattern is from Martha Stewart:

I used some fabric from my stash and made the bias from a remnant. It's kind of hard to see but there is red in the main fabric. I like to make the bias, I think it's easier to work with than the pre-packaged kind.

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / tiny Joker on: November 01, 2008 11:49:26 PM
My boyfriend's son insisted on being the Joker and I insisted on making his costume.
I made the jacket, pants, vest and tie.

not the most original, but pretty darn cute.
It earned me multiple high-fives from the teenagers across the street so I felt like a cool future step-mommy.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Sublime Stitching bib on: October 24, 2004 11:29:28 PM
I made this for my friend's daughter.  I probably would have put more on it but I got impatient and wanted it finished NOW!   Grin

5  Texas / Texas: Coastal / Houston sewing machine repair on: October 24, 2004 11:04:40 PM
Anyone in Houston know of a reliable sewing machine repair shop?   I work in the downtown area and live in the Hobby area so preferably something on the S/SE side.  I know the place my work uses is good and they're in the Heights but I'd like to see if I can find someplace closer to home.

thanks!
