1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / ManyPocketed Letter + History of Pharmacy Collage (pic heavy) on: June 08, 2006 02:21:22 PM
Hi Craftsters! I think this is my first post. Here's a letter I made for my friend. It's kind of hard to see in these pictures, but there are four pockets, each with a little collage and a piece of the letter inside.
Front (modeled by my cat):

Side: you can sort of see the pockets here

Here are the little collages. I guess they're not all collages. The paper's from a book I got for free at the library called An Illustrated History of Pharmacy, which is quite hilarious. The angel with the violin is a graphite transfer from a Caravaggio painting. These are not the best things i have ever made but it was entertaining.

Tadaa! Everything in its right place!

Hopefully I explained that in some kind of a logical fashion.
Thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Sleeve Help? on: July 18, 2004 07:07:48 PM
Hey everybody. I just joined especially so that I could ask this question...

I've started reconstructing an XL t-shirt so that it'll turn out something like this (ideallly)
but with a deeper V and jersey instead of that cute lace.

Anyway, I've never really added sleeves to something before and I want to put cap sleeves on this. I haven't yet sewed the back to the front yet because I think you need to add the sleeves first (maybe?).

If any of you would be so kind as to offer some guidence in this dilemma or maybe provide a link to a good tutorial, I'd be sincerely appreciative.

(I also realized this was sort of in the wrong category after I posted it. Forgive me?)
