while moving home from college, I realized I accumulated a LOT of stuff in 4 years.  somehow I managed to end up with tons of picture frames I no longer used, but they were still in good shape.  I passed all my unused items on to my brother and his crew of crafty friends.

His comrade Lucy turned what was once a plain, orange plastic frame (sorry I didn't think to take a before picture) into a fabulous new frame featuring a coyote.



I wasn't really sure coyotes could get this adorable!

my brother and I came across an unbelievable book sale.  we're talking nice hard cover books for like ten cents.  so naturally we had to stock up. but now that we have all these books we're kind of overwhelmed by them.  luckily, my brother has several crafty friends.

His friend Sam took an ordinary old book, in need of some love and painted every (yes every) page.  She left some words and pictures here and there and then added "dear diary" titles on the tops of the pages and now it is the most amazing journal! I'm absolutely in love with it!

upon opening the book the reader is shocked to find that they will not be reading children's stories but rather recording their own memories!



yay for the pretty new pages!

my little brother took a plain wooden frame that we had lying around and created an explosion of wonder! he just cut out some cardboard and painted it every color imaginable.  the result was an incredible frame!

my brother's amigo, Lucy, created this little darling! It was an ugly fabric pig...think farm cottage looking (pale pink with some ugly brown spots)...but with the help of fabric paint the little swine now has a new look....and a fabulous new look at that!





I love the look on his face...he looks like he's up to no good...

my brother's friend Lucy did the drawing...an octopus with only four legs...he then went and hand bound a nice little journal!





I really like the lettering he used on the back...the bubbly letters really match the drawing on the front...I'm in love with the Quadrapus...it may only have half the arms of an octopus, but twice the personality!

my far superior crafty friend has gone on a knitting rampage and she's started making these headbands, which are the perfect width to tame my wild mane! the little buttons give them that something extra that puts a spring in my step! plus she has made them in nearly every color so they match everything I wear! gotta love a friend with talent!





yes...I know...I photographed them on a foam head as opposed to actually modeling them...but I'm telling you my hair is wild and I'm afraid it may have frightened away anyone with nice things to say about my friend's work!

my friend has become a knitting machine and she recently completed this cute little number! I love the button closure and the fabric on the inside!





now if only I had a steady cash flow to fill this creation up!

Somewhere along the line my mom acquired a collection of Pepsi/Coca-Cola magnets that looked like bottle caps...unfortunatel y my mom didn't need more magnets! Enter my brother the bringer of new life to old stuff he painted the magnets and then attached some little super hero toys (think the cheap little toys you could get from gumball like machines).



I think they a much better know than they ever were before!

My brother made these little darlings after we recently came across a bunny my aunt made me when I was a little girl.  His are way more fashionable then my original! As an added bonus they remind me of the joys of my childhood!

This little guy is slightly different than the rest...but equally as loveable!



Their front is made from vintage fabric that we've recently acquired from a family friend and their back/tummy is some kind of fuzzy fabric! I love them all!
