3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Harry Potter Themed Phone Case (Decoden) on: July 06, 2011 08:01:54 AM
My Harry Potter iPhone case I decoden-ed in spirit of the upcoming last movie of the Harry Potter series: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! (Sorry for all the angles!!)

Hope you enjoyed! I'm STOKED to start wearing this out!!  Grin Grin Grin

Also, has anyone who had worked with using silicone caulk for decoden have problems with the "whipped cream" getting really dirty over time? If so, is it easy to clean? I'm scared mine will get filthy!  Huh
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Resin with different color for separate parts of the mold? on: June 17, 2011 09:13:20 PM
Thank you!
I'll try both, I think the eyedropper will work well!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Resin with different color for separate parts of the mold? on: June 16, 2011 08:59:07 AM
I tried looking through the Resin board but I couldn't narrow my search down to find what I was looking for! Sorry guys! ):

But my question is, how do you put different parts of colored resin to create only a specific part of the mold to be colored?

Like this Hello Kitty cabochon:

See how the bow, whiskers, eyes, and nose are different colors? How do I achieve this?
My guess is to just pour the resin in the bow only, let it set, then continue pouring, but what if the mold is EXTREMELY small (like the size of a quarter)?
Also, what is the best way to do the much finer details, such as the whiskers?

Thank you!
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: December 07, 2007 07:05:39 PM
i'm loving these ideas! i think my favorite so far is to blow up balloons with messages in them to put in his locker. i'm saving that for his birthday though [:

but with christmas coming soon, i really need to start thinking of a creative gift! so far i can't really think of much, so any ideas would be helpfullll!
here's some info:
- he's fifteen [so no boxers or anything super intamite like that haha]
- he's huuuuge on skating
- he loves the country [john deere, cowboy boots, music, tractors, pretty much ANYTHING country. and you're probabaly thinking "WHOA, a skating country boy?? hahah. that's what i said at first. but he definitely looks and acts more skater than country though, he just likes it. it's not like he skates in a cowboy hat and boots or anything.. haha (:]
- he's TINY [you know how skaterboys wear girlpants? well, a 0 on him is baggy. hahah]
- favorite candy: laffy taffy & milky ways
- favorite color: green
- he loves tye-dye [& peace signs, hippy stuff, etc]
- that 70's show is his FAVORITE
- he plays the piano a little bit, and he's also in choir
- he reads a lot, and harry potter is one of his top favorites
- & my name is diamond, so anything with diamonds tied in with the gift would probabaly be cute [: [like, diamond print, not actual jewels. ahha]

and all i can think of at the moment is painting a pair of vans & sewing a hoodie or blanket with some fleece john deere fabric i found at the store. i want to make him something more thoughtful & cutesy though, so any ideaaas?
