1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Photography? I guess so! on: August 12, 2008 08:58:16 PM
These are neat.  Let me just say, for the first photo, I would like to comment but the only thing I can say is this: "b'oh...look at the little puppsy-wuppsiiiiiiies with their lil scrunchie faces.  Who is a little sleepy bear?!"  I'm very sorry that I can't comment on the photograph's lighting or quality because I know very little about photo lighting or quality--but the puppies are sooooooo cute.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Daughter's of Triton Little Mermaid Quilt on: July 27, 2008 11:31:05 AM
This is EPIC.  I once went through this phase when I was in preschool where I would watch The Little Mermaid every single day and, during this "phase," I developed an unhealthy crush on Prince Eric and an increased appreciation/wonder about those sisters of Ariel.  I totally agree with your thought that they just didn't get a fair amount of screen time.  Seriously.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Last Supper Curtains on: July 27, 2008 11:26:19 AM
Once upon a time, I lived in a big house with four boys and two gray cats.  Our house needed curtains, so I made ALL of them.  My favorite curtains were in the dining room.  I saw this fabric at Walmart, wondered why anyone would make such terrible fabric, and then immediately purchased several panels.  The result...LAST SUPPER CURTAINS for, of course, the dining room.

The curtains-

A detail of the top-

*extra--this is a little game me and the boys used to call "hide the creepy ceramic cat"--

I've since moved far, far away.  But, I left the curtains behind for the next group of college student home renters to enjoy.  I hope that they (and you) enjoy my terrible, blasphemous curtains.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: A couple of summer dresses on: June 30, 2008 11:17:49 AM
These are both so cute!  I think that I like the white one the most--very simple and classy!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My first dress, simplicity 3780 on: June 16, 2008 02:00:55 PM
1. Being tan is totally overrated.
2. I wish more of my "finished products" turned out like your "mock up."  Seriously.
3. I feel like this skirt length is hard to pull off without making one look older, but this dress' color/print/cut looks great on you!  Excellent job!
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Dragon cake on: June 15, 2008 05:18:54 PM
BRILLIANT!  I love that he's hoarding a candy necklace!  Cheesy
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Yellow Dress is Yellow! on: May 29, 2008 06:25:28 PM
Cute dress!  I love the cut and ruffle and the yellow!

I agree with the suggestion to alter the belt--I think that it would be especially flattering for your body-type if you would move the little belt up/around the empire seam.  (just a suggestion, I think it looks great now, too!)  Smiley
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Alice In Wonderland Photoshoot on: March 23, 2008 08:05:44 PM
This is so great!  I love the photo where you are pouring tiny tea.  How did you construct the house--the little details are fantastic.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Marilyn Monroe - Warhol Style - Afghan on: March 17, 2008 04:58:17 PM
This is incredible!
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Valentine's day goodies for my son's class!! on: February 15, 2008 10:54:24 AM
This is a great idea!  Candy is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but felt hair pins are forever.
