I know, I know, I hate it too... but my friend is requesting legwarmers that look a little bit like this http://www.fluffylegwarmers.com/ (warning: scantily-clad girls). I was wondering if any of you craftsters had any ideas for a reasonably-priced faux fur yarn that would look something like this. She understands that it won't be as puffy, thankfully.

Also, any ideas for a good pattern? I'm thinking something that is a little snug at the top, a little wider over the calf (so it's not so hot) and then snug again at the bottom so it stays on. I think I might create my own pattern for this, but any suggestions would be great.
