1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Faux fur? on: June 11, 2007 10:42:50 PM
I know, I know, I hate it too... but my friend is requesting legwarmers that look a little bit like this http://www.fluffylegwarmers.com/ (warning: scantily-clad girls). I was wondering if any of you craftsters had any ideas for a reasonably-priced faux fur yarn that would look something like this. She understands that it won't be as puffy, thankfully.

Also, any ideas for a good pattern? I'm thinking something that is a little snug at the top, a little wider over the calf (so it's not so hot) and then snug again at the bottom so it stays on. I think I might create my own pattern for this, but any suggestions would be great.

So far the only yarn I've found is this: http://elann.com/productdisp.asp?NAME=elann%2Ecom+Marrakesh&Season=&Company=&Cat=ALLY&ProductType=5&OrderBy=&Count=30 It seems ok, anyone had any experience working with it?
