1  Look at that cute baby booty! in Needlework: Completed Projects by amyracinrose on: July 26, 2009 08:26:05 PM
.. or booties.. as is the case.

Here is a pair of booties that I made for a friend of mine who is about to have her first child, Ava.  I wanted to make her something sweet and simple to fit her taste but that would also be a beautiful keepsake as well.  I used a simplicity vintage pattern that I found.  The fabric is ivory wool felt.  I did the embroidery and stitched the booties together using a blanket stitch.  I hope ya'll like them! Baby Ava's momma sure seemed to!

Thanks for looking!

2  Mustang Pride Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by amyracinrose on: December 02, 2008 01:51:06 PM
This is my first attempt at anything quilt-like whatsoever!  I know it's nothing complicated but I was still quite proud of myself.  I made this quilt out of football tee shirts for my highschool football team.  My Mom and I still love going to every game and supporting our Mustangs.  I made this quilt a few weeks ago to have when the temps started dropping... it blocks the wind so well!  I used a compilation of different tutorials.  It's FAR from perfect, but I still love it!!!  Sorry for the lack of pictures.. I haven't had a chance to take more than this one of my Mom all snuggled up in it at a recent playoff game.  I hope ya'll like it!

3  Re: T4-Tea Towels Go International in The Swap Gallery by amyracinrose on: November 19, 2008 10:56:47 AM
Hi guys!  So, I'm very tardy in posting the pictures of the last two towels I've worked on.  They're both already on their way to their respective owners and should be arriving any day now.

Here is what  stitched for Randymacker07.. I just stitched a patch as requested since all of the delays screwed our schedule up so bad.  Her towel is a vintage crafts theme.  I really hope that you like it Randymacker!

Next up is Cupcakeguru's towel, which was a fall theme.  I used the Sublime Stitching Forest Friends owl pattern.  I really wanted to do sweet, pastel colors since I know Cupcakeguru likes them.. but I went with fall colors instead to go with the theme.  I tried to make it look cute, but I don't know.. I'm not really satisfied with it.  I hope that you like it Cupcakeguru!

Sorry again for all of the huge delays throughout this swap.  Everyone has been so understanding.  I'm glad that all of my stitching is finished up, though.  I can't wait for you-all to get your towels.. and patch.. lol.  I truly hope that you like them!

Hey everybody!  My apologies for taking so long to post my pic of Melyssa's towel and for the wrinkly state of the towel in the picture!  I was pressed for time when taking it and didn't iron it so I could take a nice picture.  I promise she looks much better in person!  I used the diner girl from the Krazy Kitchen Sublime Stitching pattern set as a base.. I modified the hair, shoes, apron and dress and changed the tray to a cute little apple pie.  I really hope you like her, Melyssa!

Sorry for the delay once again in putting pictures up for Ritapiza's towel... but here's the design I stitched on it.  I used the Sublie Stitching patterns and I just loooved stitching them.  They're so sweet!  I hope that you like it Ritapiza.

Hi guys,

So, once again I want to apologize to all of my partners for the delays and difficulty of communication due to Hurricane Ike.  I truly do apologize.  Things are certainly starting to get better, though.  So, let's hope it's smooth sailing from here on out.

On to the good stuff!

I finished Antarcticraft's towel over a week ago and mailed it then as well.. due to backups at our post office, however, it hasn't been received yet by randymacker07.  Hopefully it should be there by Monday!

So, sorry again for the delay.. but here are a couple of pictures of what I stitched.  I really hope that you like Antarcticraft!!!!

The lady is from the Sexy Librarians patterns from Sublime Stitching.  The books near her feet I just drew on including the test tube.. or beacon.. whatever you call it lol.

I hope everyone else is doing well!!!

Hi guys!  I just sent off my tea towel.. well it's actually just fabric that will eventually be a pillow.. to Randymacker today!  I'm so excited to see what everyone does to it!  I decided to go with a kitschy, retro holiday theme this time around.  Anyways, here's what I stitched on it to set the mood.

This was my first attempt at tinting as well.  I hope ya'll like him!  I love how he turned out!

8  Re: Vintage Apron Swap - (CLOSED - Send by 8/25) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by amyracinrose on: August 10, 2008 06:09:37 PM
Hey guys!  I have a few pics to show ya'll of an apron that I just finished recently.  I used a reproduction vintage pattern to make it and the poodle was inspired by a real vintage apron that I saw once.  I hope ya'll like it!

And, BrookOwens, I was hoping that you could assist me... I'm torn between two different fabric combos for your apron.  I just can't decide which to go with!  I have the pattern picked out and I know you'll LOVE it!  The apron will be reversible, hint hint, and the gingham for both fabric choices will be the "accent" fabric.  So, please tell me which you'd prefer!  I can't decide!

The first combo is what I initially intended to use but then when I saw this floral and purple gingham together, the dilemma was born!

Sorry if I'm being a spoiler!

9  "Crafty" Christmas.. with pics for inspiration! in New Swap Theme Ideas by amyracinrose on: August 10, 2008 06:02:04 PM
So my thought is why not do a crafty christmas swap?? All things christmas using crafty items.. like bobbins and beads and thread and ribbons.. rickrack.. pompoms.. you get the picture right?

I've been highly inspired by things I saw on blogs and Flickr this past Christmas and have a long list of things I'm already making for this Christmas for my home.  I'm making a candy-colored pompom garland to wrap around my christmas tree, some adorable little bobbin ornaments for my tree as well, a yarn christmas wreath and even some ribbon trees!

The possibilities for this swap are endless and below are some pics to give you an idea of what I was thinking of.

I hope ya'll like this.  I think it could be an awesome swap!

Here's a pic of the boatloads of pompoms I've made already for my garland

And here are some of the bobbin ornaments I've made already.  I painted plain wooden bobbins and adorned them with ribbons and rickracks and topped them off with adorable little pearly snowflake buttons!

These are two ribbons trees that I just made.. I was inspired by all of the adorable fabric trees that so many crafty ladies were making last year.

So, what do ya'll think?Huh

10  Re: World of Warcraft Addicts Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by amyracinrose on: July 31, 2008 05:57:12 PM
Hey everybody!
I don't know if you-all know this, but I participated in this swap for a couple of really good friends of mine, a husband and wife.  I crafted things for my partner and the things that were crafted for me.. well were actually crafted for them! lol

Anyhow, my swap partner Suriah was AMAZING!  Just wait till you see all the awesome things she made.  Let me just say that my friends went nuts over everything!  They truly loved every single thing!

Without further ado, here are the pics:

First up, there were a few shirts that Suriah made for them:

And my favorite of them!

Then there was the carrot on a stick.. which Eric and Laurie that was absolutely HILARIOUS!

Then she painted several coffee cups.. unfortunately due to the shape I couldn't get very good pics.. but I tried.  So, here's one of them.  It says.. Got Mana??

That's Eric in the background of the pics by the way!

This is the cute little tag that Suriah used to label the coffee cups

Then there was an awesome scarf which I was really tempted to snatch away from them! lol.. the picture doesn't do it justice.  It's really a beautiful navy blue and brown color combo and the stitches are gorgeous!

And here's the cute little tag Suriah made to go with it

And finally there was a whole set of some cool little buttons

Suriah, you did an amazing job!  Eric and Laurie wanted me to make sure and tell you thank you so much from both of them!
