1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / *sigh* Shirts... on: July 28, 2008 06:09:20 AM
are the one thing I cant seem to master yet. I especially find sewing the neckline impossible for me...it always turns out huge & wonky. Are there any online tuts/posts here for learning how to make a shirt? It would be much appreciated!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Long sleeve peasant top. on: August 29, 2007 11:57:05 AM
I loved Vegbee's peasant top tut, so I tried a long sleeve for colder weather ahead, especially my favorite holiday, Halloween!

DD picked out this candy corn fabric, I appliqud her favorite quote on the front  Cheesy

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Short Sleeves reconstructed for Winter on: August 23, 2007 06:19:25 AM
In attempt to save money I am reconstructing some of my daughters summer wardrobe into clothes that can last into fall-winter. Many of her shirts she still has tons of room to grow into and its a waste to pack them away  Wink

This is a totally reconstructed shirt. I tie dyed it last summer . I cut the short sleeves off and salvaged them for later...see below Smiley I proceeded to cut out the side seams making it more fitted and sewed in the long sleeves a total of 4 times, until I was satisfied with the fit. I have a love/hate relationship with my seam ripper.
