21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Should I alter this new dress ? on: February 26, 2009 03:59:31 PM
I have a new shirred top strapless summer dress its rather cute(all swiss dot cotton and insert lace) ....but I really cant seem to find a good strapless bra..
My husband thinks I should put straps on it it and give up my search for and push up strapless bra ...
What do you guys thinks ?

I use a quick and dirty method when I do skirts...I add 4-5 inches to the back third of the skirt in a gently curving line at the hem ... this works for me and I have a huge butt
or the really dodgy method ...I make an oval skirt and trim the front ...
23  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Hooray for Craftster-wood: The Old Movies Swap! Send outs March 7 SIGNUPS CLOSED on: February 23, 2009 07:32:41 AM
checking in
Small projects done (may do more as stress relief from never ending large project)
Large project 90% done
Medium project 75% done
which given send outs are in two weeks,  I feel I'm on track.

On a good note I have inspired some of my friends(and fellow gaming widows) into starting up a craft group after seeing me working on a project during my Husbands gaming session
Next I'll get them on to Craftster !

okay the big time draining(yet rather small in size) project is 80% done  HUZZAH!
My medium project is started...(its a "might be amazing or it might okay" kind of thing) I might have to do two mediums however
the small projects are at least all set to go with the supplies all laid out etc... the smalls are the least stressful Tongue
all in all I feel I'm on target to post out on time.

29  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Summer clothing panic on: February 04, 2009 04:57:12 PM
Summer is looming large in my mind as the days get warmer
Anyone got some good quick pattern/clothing ideas to share as I try
to cope with summer will having some style (mumus are not pretty)
so far Im going for skirts and peasant blouses
Anyone got more idea ? links to their esty stores ? pattern suggestions ? a classic princess line shell pattern?
I survived last summer in shorts and tank tops ...not at all my style  but it was short noticed (I had no idea how hot LA was then) this year I want to be pretty and struggling in the heat ..
30  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Gathered skirts-yea or nay? on: February 04, 2009 04:25:48 PM
I like gathered skirts...but Im okay with the way my hips look even rounder in them ...I think as plus sized women we have to be careful not just to dress in whatever makes us look smaller or more in line with fashion's ideal body type
We also need to enjoy clothing  too
I know when I wear my skirt of pink sexiness ...it makes me bottom heavy ...but it also adds a swing to my hips and drool to my husbands grin
