The colours are just so pretty, fresh and joyful
I wish I was less timid when it comes to colour choices

I had a aida doily laying about but as I don't crossstitch I decided to use it anyway.
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Big and Beautiful Plus Size Swap (Sign Up 5/11 - 5/20 Send Out 7/2) on: May 14, 2011 12:16:28 PM
I'd rather like the date to be pushed back as I'm having juggle international travel and this swap ...
But I'm super keen!!! ....haven't swapped for a while, but this swap lured me back into the  pressure-cooked world of craft swaps  Roll Eyes
I really hope I got my questionnaire in early enough!!!

My problems with clothes is I'm boobs banged on top of hips ...my torso is so short if it wasn't for the belly I wouldn't even have a torso  Tongue

Hi I'm trying  to hunt down 70s retro patterns...those crewel patterns, the hippie style stuff  anything ...even cross stitch
I really love the Jacobean patterns and how they were simplified for novices in the 1970s not to mention all the folkart inspired stuff.
Im a member of hoop love, I hunt thrift stores and the like but I thought I ask here just in case  the hivemind has some thoughts or images to share
thank you
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: A Big and Tall corset for good home on: June 04, 2009 08:46:37 PM
Well Ive lost 40 pounds and this corset was sewn up at my maximum density so thats a lot of altering
and...corsets are great... I have quite a few and I thought since this is a good solid steel boned corset it might be nice to offer it to someone else..
Also some of the work was done for me by a amazing corset maker...and I don't want to mess her work up I'd rather it went to a women fits it now and loves it.
It would work for renfairs too if you know anyone

*pics soon*
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / A Big and Tall corset for good home on: June 04, 2009 01:58:02 PM
I have this Tudor style corset in plain steel gray drill that just needs the bias binding put on it ..
Ive lost weight ...lots of weight  and I made it too "tall"

If there is a  5ft6+  size 26+ women out there who wants a steel boned Tudor corset all ready for embellishment and wants to swap ...contact me

It was going to be part of a steampunk outfit...with cogs painted on it...ah well
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Husband won't let me sew any more dresses until I have a place to wear them on: June 04, 2009 01:28:18 PM
Romantic Dinner? ...or go out for drinks at a bar and flirt with the  husband .....
"I just wanted to look pretty for you"
Or "But I don't want you to get bored of seeing me in the same old outfits"
shameless I know it kinda works on my husband

*oh and make it in his favorite color*
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Clothing Adoption Swap on: June 02, 2009 07:33:05 AM

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Clothing Adoption Swap on: May 31, 2009 09:46:54 PM
I have never organized a swap and I would be happy to help someone with experience in swaps ....

I have this idea ...
I have way too many clothes ....some I've have hoarded to mod or alter, some are half made, some Ive just hoarded cos ...well they are really neat clothes
I was thinking about a swap where I could send out my beloved items to new loving homes where they have a rich new lives filled with fun and adventure..will they be mod-ed or will they be taken clubbing that very night! Oh the excitement!
Ideally a swap where folks could sign up ..send off a package  and receive a genre themed/style pack surprise of "new" clothes..to alter, embellish or wear as is !
Sizes and Styles would be needed as well as the normal swap stuff

I have this great stash of size 20-26 clothes ....someone want a steam punk parcel or a hippy package ?
