1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Whats wrong with my doily? on: October 13, 2013 05:15:58 PM
I've redone this twice and I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The stitches keep getting pulled out and the pattern is looking loopy. I thought the tension was okay while I was crocheting... Should I try a different hook Huh

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Not sure how to fix this one on: December 16, 2010 01:13:59 PM
So I just taught myself how to embroider and I'm making a towel for my brother. Problem is I embroidered 2 images on it: one I like, and one that looks quite awkward. I know these aren't original ideas. Also the towel hasn't been washed or ironed yet as I'm looking for suggestions to make the awkward one less awkward. I think it's the head/legs thats bothering me... Any ideas? I guess I'm looking for one that involves minimal work :-P

The one I like:

The one thats awkward:

Thanks!

5  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Charities that take wool??! on: January 02, 2008 02:22:05 PM
My grandmother passed away and now I have 3 trash bags full of wool skeins. I'd love to crochet most of this for charity but because it's wool I'm having a hard time. Anyone have any suggestions??
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted Hook Case on: January 02, 2008 01:41:59 PM
Just something really simple. If I were to do it over again I'd change a bunch of things, but at least I have something to keep my hooks in order! I just recently lost my scissors, so that pocket is empty :-(

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Flowery Scarf on: January 01, 2008 05:21:53 PM
Second project I've finished today! This scarf took way to long to complete but here she is!

Sorry for the blurry images:

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bright crochet-knit blanket on: January 01, 2008 02:30:53 PM
I knit these squares a few years ago in high school and decided to crochet them together (I just learned how to crochet this thanksgiving).

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Bernat Scandia?? Modified with picture! on: December 29, 2007 07:51:22 PM
Found 6 skeins of royal blue Bernat Scandia in my grandmothers yarn stash. This yarn is a discontinued yarn (I think), 100% wool, that switches from super thick to super thin. I've never heard of it before but I guess it was pretty popular.

I'm looking for a super cool project idea to crochet with this crazy yarn. Any ideas?
