This is gorgeous... I love that color! It looks great on you with that dress (or blouse maybe)!
22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: The Times They Are A-changin'/ Bob Dylan Afghan on: May 08, 2008 05:00:37 PM
This is just amazing beyond words. Really. This rocks my socks off.
23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Tomato Paste Can Bracelet! on: May 08, 2008 04:58:19 PM
What a great idea! Thanks for posting this... I've been hunting around for cheap bangles to cover over with knitted designs... but this is even better, and free to boot! I eat a lot of soup and canned vegetables, but never thought of re-using them like this!

This rocks, for sure Smiley
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: I love fish! New Necklace on: May 08, 2008 04:55:25 PM
No kidding, this is great! I would totally rock this over a plain black or white shirt. Really awesome work!
25  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: For Hookers Only Swap [closed!] on: May 08, 2008 04:49:28 PM
Oh man, I finally got to go craft-supply hunting today! I decided to wait until at least my major finals were over (one more on Monday... but it's a 101 class. I am definitely willing to sacrifice study time to the crafty gods).

And I had such a hard time buying things! Does anyone else have this problem? I had a list of things I wanted to make, but when it came down to buying supplies I was saying things to myself like "Will she really like this?" and "Maybe this isn't her style!" Maybe it's because this is my first swap, but I'm totally second-guessing myself.

So in the end I came home with two bags full of stuff, of which I will hopefully decide on at least something to make!

*on a side note, endlessly_intricate, I am digging your avatar!
26  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Paisleys on: May 08, 2008 04:43:44 PM
I agree, beautiful work! I love the pastely color combination you've made... I bet your swap partner loved it!
27  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Sugar Skull Apron on: May 08, 2008 10:35:32 AM
This is some really beautiful embroidery! I just love it. It goes so well with the fabric of the apron!
28  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: soda can backsplash on: May 07, 2008 06:18:07 PM
I definitely remember you mentioning this, and I have to say, it's even more amazing than I imagined! I love how well it fits in to your decor! Cheesy
29  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Alice in Wonderland jewelry/sewing chest on: May 04, 2008 02:54:45 PM
Very cute! I love the interior, and the flamingo is just too adorable. Is it applique, or did you paint it on? I can't tell from the photo Cheesy
30  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My Version of the Soda Can Mirror! on: May 04, 2008 02:53:16 PM
As soon as I saw colarific's post (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=149702.0) I knew I absolutely HAD to make one of my own!

And now, months after I started the darned thing (school has really been dampening my creative output these days!), here it is!

And here's a close-up of the tiling:

I am so glad that I've finally finished this... now I won't feel guilty while I'm working on other crafts! Cheesy It was sort of a pain to make, but I really like the finished result. Cutting the cans was easy once I got into a rhythm, and after the frame was assembled and painted it was really a matter of finding the time to nail them all on! I have to say, thank goodness for nail guns!
