1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cloth Napkaaaaaaaaaaahns! (Star Trek cotton print napkins) on: February 24, 2013 11:21:59 PM
I love your napkins!! They look great! I'm running to Joann's tomorrow to see if they happen to have any of this fabric. My husband needs some of these.  Actually, so do I!! hee hee!! Awesome!  Thanks for sharing!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Bird Gear on: February 24, 2013 08:43:07 PM
This little bird was attacked by some E-6000 and a few gears. Then he was strung up on a chain. But I don't think he looks too bad after all that abuse... (I'm kind of new at this jewelry making thing)

I'm also new at this particular computer and I'm having trouble with my pictures!! Ahh!!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / who knew pillowcases could be cool? on: September 20, 2012 11:18:08 PM
Quite some time ago now, (it's taken me a long time to think to post this) I got my craft group interested in making some pillowcases for the "One Million Pillowcase Challenge". Maybe you've heard of it?? Anyway, i think they turned out pretty cool! They weren't hard to make at all and once we got the hang of it they went pretty fast. We donated these to our church for one of the programs they have where families come to stay for a week at a time and attend classes and counseling. They'll be nice for the kids, i think because they're bright and colorful.
It was a fun project and we all learned a thing or two. I want to make some for us at home now!
  thanks for taking a look!

5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Sherlock Holmes Swap on: September 22, 2011 01:59:37 PM
I'm totaly in love with Jeremy Brett's Holmes and enjoy all the original stories and even those old radio shows with Basil and Nigel Bruce from the 40's. I'd love to participate but I've never done a swap before. Can this be my first one?
6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Traumatic sewing accident in my class today on: September 21, 2011 10:09:46 PM
ouchie!! i haven't done that yet, but because i'm oh so neat and tidy and always put my 'toys' away, the cord to my sewing machine foot was laying there on the floor unpugged from the machine (evidentally pointed UP) and i stepped on it! You know, the little plug that looks like a giant headphone jack. That thing went right into the arch of my foot. I couldn't believe it!! I gently tugged on it, realized it was way in there, and finally yanked it out. Expecting a torrent of blood, my daughter had run for paper towels, but nothing much happened. We stared at my foot and waited, but I guess punture wounds don't bleed much. A bit disappointing and very painful but we both laughed! We couldn't believe it! I could hardly walk the next day or two and it took weeks for the bruising to heal all the way.  sewing+carelessness=embarrassing injury

I'm not sure if this should really go here, but it is made of paper! I took pictures of poeple at work and "dressed them up" for Halloween, gave them each a little trick-or-treat pumpkin like the plastic ones the kids carry, and we went trick-or-treating! It's all in fun and everyone loves it. The people who were too shy are the ghosts and one lady is the mummy.
