1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / TUTORIAL included! Cute earmuffs to comfy headphones! pleasantly pic plump on: December 29, 2010 02:22:18 PM
I hope this is in the right place... earmuffs are considered clothing, right?

These were earmuffs. Now they are headphones. Why? Because earbuds hurt my ears. So do big heavy headphones. And it's hard to find stuff to fit over my dreads.

I used a seam ripper to open the bottom of the earmuff and pulled the inner section of stuffing out.

I used craft wire to hold the earbud in place and then I taped it. I don't think the wire is necessary, but since I only had two hands it helped keep things together while I taped.

I stuffed the padding back in and made my boyfriend sew it shut because I haven't learned how to hand sew yet. I can only use a machine.

Action shot? Sure!

2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / First attempt at shoes... Dr. Pepper PIC HEAVY on: February 26, 2008 10:41:11 PM
I made these for a friend's birthday. She's in love with everything Dr. Pepper. I've never altered a shoe in any way, nor have I ever used modge podge. It was pretty fun and I managed to make a few mistakes. Smiley Anyways... here goes.

Let me know what you think or if you have and suggestions. Thanks! Smiley
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / For the Horde!! .... to sleep in. PIC HEAVY on: February 26, 2008 10:32:24 PM
I came up with this for my World or Warcraft addicted boyfriend for his birthday. I just used acrylic paint and textile medium. Honestly... I wasn't really sure what I was doing because I've never tried anything like it before. So.. it's a first. Smiley Here goes.

I made four pillow cases. I got kinda lazy with the red ones but I think they're still okay. I just ironed them to heat set.. is there anything else I should do?

And here's the blanket. It took a whole lot of paint.

I didn't do sheets because he hates sheets... especially flat ones. I dunno why.

Well, what do you think?
