1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / very warm earflap tuque on: February 02, 2009 04:18:20 PM
At xmas I made the mistake of showing off my fancy tuque I had made. Well after a few drinks I was convinced to make some for the whole family... I have been putting it off a bit but finaly started with an order for a super warm lime green and white snowboard type cool hat (That was my note of it I had made in my half drunken stupor) This is what came of it. Lined with micro fleece. Its simple but i like them like that.Ok its a bit small on me but I had to try it on(really had to pull hard to get it on).

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / horsey on: February 02, 2009 02:54:14 PM
I wish he was bigger and alive but for now he will do.

saddle and bridle are removable for when he is in pasture. Maybe I should make a rider for him...
Pattern from fleece animals to sew modified to make a white sock on one foot cause I was a teeny bit short on the tan fleece.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Hot pink snowsuit on: January 24, 2009 03:46:35 AM
My little parson terrier gets mighty cold at -25c. Poor thing becomes a pupsickle! I had bought some premade pet clothes(why did I do that  Embarrassed ) They are so cheap and dont stay on a fiesty little girl like Lily. I  modified a simplicity pattern to fit her and get rid of most of  that open tummy stuff for males. She is much less cold in this thick hot pink fleece. She is hard to keep still sorry for a bad pic of her. Notice the cute underbite!! She was on special cause of it. I think she looks like she is smilling  Cheesy

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Pattern help on: September 06, 2008 01:14:23 PM
I want to make this little frog pincushion but I am having problems with the pattern.
http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/files/frogpin.pdf
Nothing seems to add up!

Ex: Row 2:Starting with 8 Crochet 2 single crochet stitches in the first base
stitch, 1 in the second, then continue in the 2, 1 pattern
until the row is finished. You should have 16 stitches.

If you have 8 and sc 2 in the first stitch and 1 in the next and repeat around you do not get 16....

Like that with the whole pattern...

Is it me that is reading it wrong?

Thanks for the help

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A crochet teddy bear(many pics) on: November 05, 2007 10:57:24 PM
My mother's birthday was coming up and there is nothing I could buy her ... she's difficult to shop for. Well I recently figured out how to crochet properly and I made quite a few nice amigurumis, so I decided she needed a bear overflowing with cuteness. Who does not like cute...c'mon.

Her name was Beary but mom thought Belle was nicer. She is made from "fashion yarn" says 100% unknown fibers...well it's nice and soft so why not. It was very thick and made a giant bear in no time.
The arms move, she has nails cause I tought the feet were too plain. The eyes looked buggy so I made eyelids and it gave her a sleepy cute look. She has a little scarf to warm her up and a little bag for her lunch(a berry and a twig with leaf). Her mouth area is felt attached by blanket stich and is stuffed to make a muzzle. Did not really follow a pattern but based it on a few bears I have seen here.

My mother loved it and it made me sooo happy. Here are some pics.

Here is when she first saw it! Sorry mom for putting pics of you in your pjs on the net  Cheesy

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Crazy quilt ferret hammock on: October 10, 2007 10:39:59 PM
I was getting kind of bored making regular hammock that take 20 minutes to do so I decided to make a crazy quilt version that ended up taking 3 days on and off of crafting(My first time crazy quilting) No pattern or nothing just pure crazyness!

Since I was making this for Nibbler, the male in charge here, I made it boyish.

It is attached to the cage with shower curtans hooks. Looks great in there too!

Yeah it passed the ferret seal of approval!! Stylish yet it provides the support my ferret's tush needs  Cheesy

Nibbler is shedding right now and is not at his most attractive...shhh don't tell him.
