21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: What is your favorite fabric designer? on: December 12, 2007 08:27:19 AM
I'm really fascinated with the japanese fabrics for kids.  Love all the other designers everyone has mentioned...Cornelloki too.

Haha! If I lived in Canada, or you lived in Indiana, I totally would! I love hanging out with kids! I get to go to the park and not feel like a dork!

Woo hoo, another Hoosier hip crafty mama! What a relief to know there's another one in the state.

BTW, I read "buttonhole" too.  I am a bear of very little brain.

Glad to hear that baby is doing just dandy in his/her womb!
With that top anyone would have beat ya' at bowling!  Between her and the top such cuteness is a perfect distraction to get ya' to throw gutter balls...

I still haven't figured out how to tell all the moms apart yet - they all have blond bobs and frosted pink lipstick
Anyway, its probably why I spend so much time on craftster, my desperate need for hip moms.

awwww, I feel so loved.  Try the midwest, ugh.  They just don't get it and most of the hip crafters I run into are young and unencumbered. Sewing hip urban and ultimately adorable kid clothes is just not on their radar yet.  We may have to fight over ya' vegbee! Or convince Craftster to have a convention where these hip mamas can meet up!

oh, BTW, monkey just keeps getting better and better. Gorgeously gothy Xmas!
25  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Euro patterns-seam question on: November 14, 2007 05:31:12 PM
The only thing I see with doing the next size up for me is still keeping a regular seam allowance size going without it getting wonky.

Cool! I know a few adult boys that would like this for the holidays....
funny, I first thought about my husband and brother in law actually.

I was in the same place! Paddy and his brothers would love it!

Wow! Thanks for the visual in constructing long sleeves like that! Combing your sleeves with Vegbee's tute on a peasant top will be great for winter!
