2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / New SlipCover for my couch on: December 01, 2008 12:53:37 PM
I made this slipcover for my couch. It took me about 1 week to do. I had no pattern for it. Instead of two big cushions on each, I changed and made three on each top and bottom of the couch. I think it turned out pretty good for not really knowing what the heck I was doing.  I just have to make my pillows and I'm done. Now I have to start on my loveseat which will be a orange color to match the flowers on this one.

Here's a before pic:

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / simple hello kitty invitations on: July 12, 2008 09:21:10 PM
Hi I just wanted to share some invitations that I made for my daughters birthday coming up. Its hello kitty. They are some much a hello kitty fan. Anyways, here they are. I used white card stock paper and pink scrapbook ribbon that I found at the dollar tree and of course markers to draw the face.
I traced the image from the computer and then cut them out, and I hot glued the ribbon to the paper. Very simple and easy
Then you just write on the back for the date and time, etc.

6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / quick, easy and yummy cherry turnovers (step by step) on: April 09, 2008 08:35:14 PM
These are one of my favors now.
All you need is:
1 can of small or large biscuits
1 can of cherry pie filling (you will have extra lefted over)
icing for the top

press the biscuits out like this:

add filling to each biscuit (I put two or three cherries in each biscuits)

pull the biscuits over to the other side like this, then put them in the oven for 10-15 or until brown on 400*

after the biscuits are done have some melted icing ready to put of them after then come out of the oven. I pull the biscuits out and pop the icing in the microwave for about 10 seconds then I'm ready.

And they are ready to eat, YUMMY!

This is a little sun dress I made for my daughter today. I made it from a button up girls top. My daughter loves the dress! It was the tut of course from cheytown, but instead of the ruffled sleeves I made just plain straps.  Let me know what you think.
