5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Changing regular pajama pattern into maternity pajamas and beyond on: September 04, 2007 09:07:42 PM
This week i'll be working on the Jane pattern from Burdastyle.

I'll be altering the waistline of the shorts slightly to accommodate my growing pregnant bump and will also alter the top so it can be used for nursing once baby is born.
To do this i will slit the fabric below the bust and add poppers to fasten so i can discretely feed baby and also keep my tummy covered and warm.

Any suggestions?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How can i alter the Steffi jacket pattern to fit my growing pregnant belly? on: August 08, 2007 05:08:55 PM
I plan on altering the Steffi jacket from Burdastyleand would like do it so i can wear it throughout my pregnancy.

Since i live in Australia and the weather will be warming up soon (i hope) i'd like to make it as a summer jacket.  Do you have any fabric suggestions?  Something light but that will hold the shape well.
As for the alterations i've had suggestions to crop the jacket to above my bump or to alter it like this jacket.
I'm favouring the second suggestion so far, any other ideas?  Let me know by monday and i'll show you what i come up with next week.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help me decide how to alter Tara to keep me warm on: July 18, 2007 03:42:49 AM

I plan to make this top but i'd like to change the sleeves and the neckline.  I was thinking of adding some elbow length sleeves and either adding something to the neckline or altering it to cover a little more cleavage.  I'm also thinking of trying it in a knit fabric.  I'm interested to know if anyone has any ideas.  Leave me a comment over the next few days and next week i'll do a how-to to show how i ended up changing the pattern and what the outcome was.

you can find the pattern over at www.burdastyle.com and it's free.

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Some bags i've made recently on: October 24, 2005 04:14:52 PM
I made some Covingtons recently.

I've made 2 using this fabric and have another in production

I have a pink one almost finished too.

This bag and pouch were made for a friends birthday.  I made them from a thrifted pillowcase that cost
AU 30c, calico, bamboo handles, a zip and some of my own hand dyed fabric.
