What dimensions did you use for the tote bags?

I make patterns/templates for my projects from old pattern paper or poster paper.  I then put the entire project with written instructions and fabric requirements in a gallon ziploc bag.  This way I know that I can open the ziploc bag and find everything I will need.  Also, when my girlfriend asks to borrow my pattern, she gets everything she will need to make a successful project.
475  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Help with cutting fabric... on: May 26, 2008 09:21:16 AM
I have picked up sewing again and just do fun projects.  Nothing to stressfull.  I find that the biggest pain for me is cutting the fabric.  I use both scissors and rotary cutter (for straight lines) but just feel that it should be easier.

Most of the time, if I am given dimensions, I will make a template from Poster paper and then put that on the fabric and use the rotary cutter or scissors.  I do pin the poster paper to the fabric..

Any ideas to make this fabric cutting easier are appreciated....
