1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / What I made for Xmas (Well some of it)Image Fatty on: January 14, 2008 07:13:53 PM
Here's the stuff I made for xmas. Unfortunately I didnt take pics of anything and these pics were sent to me from the recipient. In saying this, there is a tonne of stuff I hope to get photos of soon and will update then.

Napkins and Polymer clay rings

I decoupaged the butterflies on and then put glitter in polyurithane and used it as a gloss coat

The same thing here with the plate, except the glitter settled in one spot which was annoying

This looks much better in person... Its an earring hanger made out of a bamboo placemat

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Military Messenger Bag on: January 10, 2008 02:40:38 AM
This is my version of the messenger bag. This one was for DH for xmas.

The strap is made from seatbelt material I got at the army disposable store

Here is the bag open. I forgot to line the inside of the top of the bag.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Boring Wall..... CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE on: January 10, 2008 02:39:05 AM
This is my hallway. I was trying to revamp it with records, but this got very boring very quickly. Does anyone have any other ideas for what I can do here with/without the records? Painting is not an option because I'm in a rental house. Plus the wall is concrete which makes things difficult too.

Tips and suggestions PLEASE!
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / German Nazi photo book (Disturbing Images.. BEWARE) on: January 10, 2008 02:38:27 AM
I got this book with some really awesome photo's of the Nazi war. I am not sure what to decoupage them onto. I had an idea of making some display plates on the wall with a pic in the centre of each plate. But I;m not sure what to do around the image to compliment them.

Any ideas or suggestions on what to use the pics for or on the plate idea?

Here are some of the pics just to give you an idea

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Another Comic Covered Toilet Seat on: January 10, 2008 02:33:46 AM
Here's my version of the comic book toilet seat. I did this one ages ago.
I didnt know what to finish it in, so I used Polyurithane (Spelling???). Its for decking I think and chemicals are fine to use on it.

A close up pf the top

This took FOREVER to do but I was really happy with the results.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Hidey Hole Book Needs a Vamp Up! on: January 10, 2008 02:31:22 AM
I just made this hidey hole book (dont know what it is actually called), and it looks really.....bland.
I want to vamp it up but I dont know how? Any suggestions?

It's not as messy looking as the pics are.

8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Squares of paper from a Novel on: January 10, 2008 02:27:03 AM
I just made a Hidey-hole book, so now I have a tonne of squares of paper with print on them.
What can I do?
I have glued a few together to make a larger piece of paper and and going to paint out the centre to make a blank space for writing on.

Does anyone have any other ideas??

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / New Years Resolution - A Craft A Week! Image Obese Attack! on: January 08, 2008 03:06:46 AM
My new year's resolution this year was to make a craft every week. I havent set a theme at all, it's just anything that will use up my stash!

I know I'm one day late for the first week, but I only decided that I was going to do this yesterday.
So without further ado, I bring you...

WEEK 1: 07.01.08
The Hipslinger/Fanny Pack

DH and I are going to Thailand in 5 weeks, so these are to keep our valuables in.
The skully one is for me

With the flap open. The velcro on the bottom part is vertical so larger things can be put in it

Inside is lined with black and closes with velcro

The back has caribeeners to hook onto the pants and also belt loops if wearing a belt

And the must have action shot

Sorry about all the pics but this is the first proper post I have done with my new camera and sewing skills.

I will be updating this every week with my new crafts. Anyone who wants to craft along is more than welcome too!!!

Week 2 14.01.08
Luggage Tags

These are alot bigger than I expected and range in size from big and wonky to even bigger and wonkier due to lack of pattern and pinning things as I went along.

The ID side

The Back

This one you can see the acetate sheet that I used for the window

Week 3 21.01.08
Toiletries Case

Its not that great, a bit lopsided.

Week 4 28.01.08
Coin Purse

Its a bit too long, next time I'll remember that.
