281  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Re: Stop, THIEF!! Help me!! on: August 26, 2004 06:05:03 PM
That is so awful!!  Angry  Evil greedy big businesses!  Copyright infringement makes me so mad. People think they can walk all over artists.  Best of luck to you, bring them down!!
282  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Dick Cheney embroidery on: August 18, 2004 06:14:37 AM
That is awesome. I love it. The bunny ears are superb.
283  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: bird brain on: August 18, 2004 06:12:25 AM
He is adorable! (I would love him too!) Great first attempt. What you could do next time to avoid losing the eyes and beak is add them last over top of the satin stitching. That way you have a smooth background and don't have to stitch around them.  Of course, this works best with a simple face, because you have to remember where it goes, your pattern will be covered up. Keep at it, I'd love to see more little cuties like him!
284  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: skinny bunny and wider puppy on: August 17, 2004 07:00:45 AM
I love those!! I think the simplified look makes them even cuter. I like the fabric you used and their clothes too. Keep it up!
285  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Celtic Cat Embroidery on: August 13, 2004 05:26:37 PM
Thanks! It was fun to do. I love Celtic knotwork too. I designed this one myself, but it's based on various Celtic knot animals I've seen. I'm not sure if the knots mean anything specific, I just thought they looked cool.

I just finished this embroidery of a Celtic cat design. What do you think?

288  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Little Stuffies, Bunny, Cat, Bear... on: August 11, 2004 09:42:05 AM
Love the green kitty w/ strawberry ears!! I'm going to make some of these as soon as I get some good fabric. Is that velvety stuff you used expensive? It seems to come in lots of good colors.

ooh, ooh! I know! Midnight Star (I read it in the weekly midnight star...)! Do I get a cookie?

You rule, PollyEsther! Here's your cookie:

Wink btw, I love your screeen name! My best friend and I used to joke that we'd name our daughters Polly Esther!
Kudos to a fellow die hard Weird Al fan!
