2  I haven't sewn for a while, so I figure I'd at least start up again by drawing. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Petrifiera on: April 06, 2008 05:45:39 PM
I seem to have lost my passion for making clothes over a series of events, but now I am trying to regain it. I figured I could at least start by drawing on some clothing, so here you go. I don't know if any of you remember me. I used to make some crazy clothing haha. Hopefully I can get back to making clothes soon enough. Please tell me what you think! All done with fine point fabric markers. :]

3  Pandas honk; I honk. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Petrifiera on: November 10, 2006 12:18:29 AM

Yaaaay. ^^ I'm ready for it to be cold now. I was reaaally needing something to keep me warm--I've been shivering like hell in my crappy layers of shirts and hoodies and cardigans. Now I have this! I took two vintage wool sweaters, cut them up, and now here it is! I got the panda sweater off of Ebay (♥), and the other one was a crazy super 80's black and white sweater I got from Goodwill, but I only took the heart patterned part from that and made part of the sleeves and hood from it. The hood is lined with white faux fur with a sweet musical print! Sooooo soft. I added a mesh yoke with flowers with cream lace detailing--hard to see, but it's there--I might take detailed pictures later, aaaaand took the button-up part of of an old sweater and attached it as my closure because I hate having to do buttons myself hahaha. :] The hoood is huuuuge. There's also lace detailing on the sleeves and it is banded with white knit fabric. I might add elbow patches...but there's already so much going on haha. Ooh, and I also need to add pockets...maybe heart pockets from white fleece. Something! :] Anyway, I loooove it, and I'm wearing it right now because it is so warm. ^^

Please don't ask for tutorials...I never make them. I don't have the time. Sorry, loves. ♥

4  Who doesn't like pandas?! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Petrifiera on: July 12, 2006 09:06:30 AM

So it's definitely been a while since I posted. I've made a few things, but this is the only one worth posting, I think. As you can see...pandas! I've developed this obsession with them. They're so adorable! I realized yesterday when I was about to get into my car that I had pandas everywhere. I had a panda plush on the dashboard of my car, a panda key chain, and I was wearing them too haha.

Anyway, this took me about 2 hours? Maybe? Something like that. I won the panda shirt on Ebay and cut it up, used up .000000001% of the horrendous amounts of fabric I have sitting around, and this is what happened. I gave it a kimono-styled collar, mesh flutter sleeves, pocket with mesh stitched heart detail, contrasting black/white front/back, banded bottom, and low scoop back. I hope you like it! I may end up selling it soon. MAYBE. I love it too much right now though. XD

The front.

The back.

Details.

Hopefully I'll be posting way more and breaking my lazy streak. XD

5  My Kimono-style First Dress! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Petrifiera on: April 04, 2006 12:05:10 AM
I juuust got done with my spring break, but I was actually productive for once. It's been a while since I've posted anything. Anyway, I was really inspired by Kara Janx's kimono dress and wanted to make my own version of it. Here it is! I chose to just use my belts rather than sewing on the wrap belt. I might sew one on later though. Who knows.

With it open.

This is my first dress ever, and I am in love. I love wearing dresses now. ^^

Some of these will be up for sale on my site soon enough, I'm hoping. :]

Tell me what you think! Please don't ask for a tutorial because there's no way I have the time, plus this is how I make my money. Sorry!

6  I feel pretty. Oh so pretty. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Petrifiera on: October 09, 2005 10:37:20 PM
Whoo. Here's a few things I've done for the past few months that I've been too lazy to post. XD

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/lacetop.jpg

For the lace top, I used an XL lace button-up collared shirt I got from Goodwill and a plain white tee that I had resized and turned into an off shoulder top earlier. Now it is a blouse with a lace yoke w/ lace trim! I cut the collar off and sewed lace trim onto that. The yoke is as big at the back too, but I didn't take pictures. It also has a kangaroo lace pocket, but it's kind of hard to see in these pictures. :[

Outfit. :]

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/pinkstripes.jpg
This is a super-longsleeve top I made out of pink striped t-shirt fabric. It's soooo comfy and the sleeves go several inches past my fingertips. :] Photoshop turned the quality all icky, but you get the idea.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/monsterpurse.jpg
I've jumped on the monster purse bandwagon. XD I found this fleece furry fabric at Wal-mart for $5 in the scrap pile, so I had to get it. I used the strap from one of my purses that I can take on and off, felt piece for the eyes and teeth, and scrap polka-dot t-shirt fabric for the bow and strap loops. This is my favorite purse...I kind of made it too small for all the crap I carry though. XD Whoops.

Older:

These are shirts that I experimented with over the summer. All handpainted with acrylic paint mixed with fabric medium.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/shop/butterfly.jpg
This has butterflies and random swirls and other things. The silver paint is metallic! :O

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/shop/bunny.jpg
Evil bunnies and things.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/shop/random.jpg
Skulls and bleeding action and other random things.

That's all for now.

The splatters.

$2.97 G+G/Rave tee. Resized for more fit (loosened though after taking on/off for work purposes). Random sewing/stitching and uncut threads. Handpainted.

It makes me happy. :]

8  It makes me feel tall. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Petrifiera on: May 15, 2005 11:41:30 PM
Haha. Oh yes. Vertical stripes are my latest lustover. I made a new halter top w/ an interchangeable neckline. It basically cost me $1.00 at the most. Score! I never wear halter tops, but hey, it's summer haha. Made from clearance Wal-mart fabric...$1 a yard. Oh baby. Oh, and an O-ring. Yum.

9  GAH! I stained it already! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Petrifiera on: March 31, 2005 02:50:29 PM

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/rain.jpg

Hobby Lobby tee, size large. Taken in to fit like a charm. Hand painted like a maniac. Stained because I was stupid and held my Hibachi chicken take-out box to my shirt and the sauce got on me. =/ I haven't washed it yet...doubt it'll come out. Bleach? Splatter it all over? Discuss!

EDIT: I got the stain out! ^^ Thanks everyone. Cheesy

10  A bajillion new outfits! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Petrifiera on: March 23, 2005 01:59:31 AM
Okay I lied. Only 3. Wink But it's still a lot. XD Been too lazy to post lol.

Alrighty...I finally decided to do something with this shirt that my bro Jason gave me because I needed some new tops. It was an XL, so I resized it and added the off-shoulder sleeves, which were really difficult to do because there was a bit of floppyness going on...you can still see it happening in the front on the 2nd pic. I'll fix that eventually. _-_ But yeah...it's pretty long on me--it covers my crotch haha. I wish I could've taken better pictures, but my camera ran out of batteries...and now I look a mess  and don't feel like changing into the outfit again just for pictures lol. The back is made from this see-through stretchy fabric (it would've been my prom dress fabric), but yeah. I wore a cami underneath though, so no worries. Wink I'll get better pictures later.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/envy.jpg
My bro got this shirt from voodoopc.com when he bought his laptop. I felt kind of strange wearing a top with ENVY on it...like I was high on my ego or something haha, but people would ask about it, and I explained that it was for a laptop.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/envyfulllength.jpg

I wore this outift last week. I wanted a red and black outfit. It's my school colors haha. I probably wont wear this again though. I usually only wear my crazy outfits once. Plus I could've sworn when some guys passed me, I  heard them call out "slut"...but I couldn't be too sure if that was directed at me or not haha. I dont think it's slutty...I'm fully covered, thank you very much. =) I think someone called me a freak too haha. Then again, it was some redneck. lol.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/redblack4.jp
The top used to be a huge red shirt that my mom gave me for Christmas, but I resized it and drew all over it with black fabric marker. It's like one of those cheesy fake tux shirts hehe. I also made the skirt. It's safety-pinned together where I was too lazy to finish it off and sew the parts together. XD I'm wearing another skirt under it for more poofyness. Mm..I should get a petticoat.

Closer look at the top:

The back.

Closer look at the back:

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/redblackhair.jpg
Closer look at my crazy hair lol.

I wore this yesterday (as you can tell, my style is already starting to change). I think I'm growing out of my scary stage and crossing over to a more cuter, girly side...Tongue I didn't take a shower haha...I just took out my braids and put it up. I like how it looked. ^^
http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/cute1.jpg
The long top I'd just made that late night/morning. I'm wearing my fishnet hoodie, black sweater belt thingy, skirt from the outfit before, same black tights (I guess with more rips), and my kind of new but not really $7 yellow green flats I bought off someone on Livejournal *yay*! And jewelry of course.

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/cute2.jpg
Better look at the hair. Smiley

http://www.petrifiera.net/mydiy/diy/cute3.jpg
The back & without the jacket. You can see the tears in my stockings lol.

That's all for now! I have another shirt I made, but I kind of need to fix it haha.
