1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Big Stamp--problems on: August 30, 2007 02:20:25 PM
I have a big stamp--maybe 4x3--and I'm having trouble using it.  it is detailed, and it is supposed to look like a photo.  when i stamp it, it looks like nothing.  it is just a blur--like it isn't all there, it wasn't moved during stamping.

What am i doing wrong?  I have very limited experience, so I'm sure the problem is me.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / i don't want to buy more needles on: June 07, 2007 01:57:17 PM
i'm knitting a blanket in the round, and i'm outgrowing my needles.  i have a set of dpns, a 24" and a 32" all in size 8. . . and i have too much blanket for the 32".  Anyone have a way to use more than one set of circs to avoid investing in more?  i cannot think of anything. Sad
3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / pinwheel blanket knit-along on: May 27, 2007 12:08:44 AM
When my yarn arrives on Tuesday, I'm going to start a pinwheel blanket from Oat Couture.  I'd never heard of Oat Couture before, but the pattern looks great. (pic from their site attached)

it is similar to the free pattern one listed at knitlist.

Anyone else want to knit a pinwheel?  I'm using bamboo #8's, and blue alpaca organic cotton: nut, sage, and vanilla.

my bff is due in August, but I'd like to get this done by the end of June.
4  Ohio / Ohio: Southwest / Knitting in Northmont on: May 24, 2007 09:12:16 PM
i know it is specific, but i want to start meeting with some knitters in Northmont (Clayton, Englewood, Union).  I was thinking of the Boston Stoker or the Bird's Nest--a new coffee house.

anyone interested?
