11  The Change Within Us image heavy in Quilting: Completed Projects by amandadawn on: March 08, 2008 11:33:43 AM
This was started when I was in a horrible mood and it took me SO long to finish, almost seven months haha. It reminds me of the bad times and how we can create a positive lifestyle for ourselves, wierd eah.
this was made with four huge white fabric pannles which I used black fabric makers on (so many) to draw and shade and make prettyness. two colours of neon blue were used to trim the white parts, and neon pink around the very edge.
I hope that you enjoy it, and it makes you smile like it makes me smile...sorry about the poor image quality.

so here it is in full

These are just some close ups of the white doodled parts

this is it on my bed ^__^

and me with it, more so just for hight association I am 5'7 so its pretty big, and its on the floor a little bit   please excuse the face im making

Anyways I LOVE it, and I hope that it brings you some enjoyment as well
Have a great day !

12  Cap reduced in size LOTS OF PICTURES in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by amandadawn on: March 08, 2008 10:13:39 AM
so I got this new hat from my friend becuase for some reason he just dident want it, wierd huh, anyways it was way to big, so big that if I walked anywhere it would fall into my eyes, and I really liked it so I thought, what the heck ill make it smaller!
all I did for that was cut the hat and just sew it back up again, it really was not difficult in the lest other than in the parts where the sewing machiene could not reach...anyways here you are

okay so as you can see this is too big, well imtrying to show that anyways

So this is the sewing on the inside of the hat and how it was done  just FYI

And this was the problem that I had, the excess fabric went over the button thing on the top of the hat, it just means that it needs more attnetion sewing at that point

And the finished product its not to big, it looks fine from seeing it and it fits me well ^__^
thank you for looking, have a wonderfull day!

14  Happy Bird Decaying Zombie in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by amandadawn on: January 30, 2008 09:53:10 AM
So I saw this image on a shirt, but I am super broke (buying craft things) and could not afford to buy it, and then I thought, well hey there I can make that!
Its not a traditional silk Screening, I used this really stinky laqure and i printed off the image and just transfered it over with a tea spoon. Its super cheap and really effective.   Sorry about having a link, if you want to know more on how to do this kind of transfer just let me know! Also sorry about having a link, still a huge noob

15  Samurai Shirt With Throwing Stars !! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by amandadawn on: January 30, 2008 09:18:50 AM
So I went goodwilling, and found this really awsome Samurai shirt stuffed in the little boys section (they have the best shirts) even though it was a kids shirt, it was way to large for me, and a little too short, I like my tummy to be covered.
I took in the sides so that it would fit properly, made a white belt out of some extra fabric that I had laying around and put it all together, and then Ta Da Samurai !

Sorry about having a link, im still a noob
May the force be with you!
