451  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Queen Head Wrap on: June 24, 2007 12:07:05 AM
Well, I just finished making one for my daughter!  I'll have to post a pic of her in it tomorrow.  It came out really pretty.  Again, thanks so much for posting the link to this pattern! Grin

I think that head wrap is awesome.  I'm gonna make one for me and another for my sister.  Thanks for posting the link!!  Do you find that it stays on well once you put it on?

My little ladykiller is almost 4 months old (I also have an almost 4 yr old son and a 9 yr old daughter).  That's funny that everyone says that about the last picture.  When I emailed it to our family, I made it like Dorian was saying "Can you believe I can do this?!!!!"

I love all the compliments on my baby more than I do the ones on his blankie!

Oh!! What a cute baby! I love the face he made when he pushed himself up! What kind of yarn did you use for the blankie, and it looks beautiful, by the way!!

I used Caron Simply Soft.  It gave it a really nice sheen, I think.

Those blankets are really pretty. That's awesome!  I never knew there was such a thing.  My mom would love the edgerydoo.  She's all the time buying those hemstitched flannel blankets that cost about $15 a pop.  It'd be much more economical to just buy the edgerydoo and get flannel by the yard.  I'll have to tell her about this.   Thanks for posting!

So, I made this for my son, Dorian.  He'll be 4 months old on the 18th.  It took me the larger part of my pregnancy to finish, but I managed to get it done before he made his appearance!  It seriously weighs about 10 lbs or more.  He won't be able to carry it unassisted till he's about 5  Grin  And, just for kicks, I included some pics of Dorian and blankie together.  That last one is the first time he pushed himself up on his elbows like that and he was mightily impressed, which is why his eyes are so bugged out.  This is my last post with pics for at least a couple days, I swear!  I'm just so excited to have a place where I can show people the things I've made and have them understand just how much love and hard work went into it.  Thanks for looking!!

Yep, the chain is connected to both of them.  I gave the bride a bit of a longer leash, though Wink  Here's the link for the pattern:

That's so cute!  The daisies are quite small.  What size hook did you use to make them?  Great job  Cheesy

I actually used a D hook and cross-stitch embroidery thread for the flowers.  I used all 6 strands and just did a magic ring with 6 sc.  Then I tied several knots with the yellow thread and used that as the middle.

:DThanks for all the lovely compliments everyone!!

This is a gift I made for my sister-in-law and her soon-to-be husband.  They're getting married in September.  My SIL's wedding flowers are going to be daisies, hence the bride's bouquet and veil.  I modified this a bit from a pattern I bought on etsy from NeedleNoodles (changed the veil, added the bouquet, added the ball and chain).  It's called Lil' Spookies.  I mailed them on Monday and I wish they'd hurry up and get there.
