1  Birthday Gift For A Friend - Mature Language in Needlework: Completed Projects by annieeggplant on: June 25, 2011 09:31:34 PM
A friend of mine is a connoisseur of cursing.  Asshat is one of her favorite words.  Since I cannot draw to save my life, I Googled the term and found this link: http://internalbleedingstrawberry.tumblr.com/post/1521859654/it-cuts-my-bread-when-people-call-each-other-asshats

I used one of the drawings and came up with this for her:

The frame is for a wallet sized photo.  I used back stitch and seed stitch and made it all wonky and crude to match the subject matter.

The thing is, I like it so much that I feel like I need to make one for myself.  (And that never happens.  I usually hate my stuff when it's done.  Maybe I'm growing... =^D)

2  Ex-Husband VooDoo Doll for Friend - NSFW ? in Needlework: Completed Projects by annieeggplant on: March 08, 2010 02:56:43 PM
My dear friend from high school is getting divorced from an ugly man who was very abusive both verbally and physically.  She is having a rough time as he is still an a-hole.  He owes her a lot of money, talks down to her whenever he picks up the girls for a visit, steals things from her when he picks the kids up - the list goes on and on.  Through all of this, she has managed to keep her sense of humor.

I thought that since she is being so wonderful about the whole thing, that she deserves a voodoo doll of him.  I know that she will never use it, but I hope that it makes her laugh.  There are some personal jokes on there and the design is all my own - a first for me, I always use transfers.

Some of the things are - chauvinist pig, penny pincher, yellow belly, dickhead, back stabber, 2 left feet.....

So here you go - the ex-hubby voodoo doll:
