31  bird decorated picture frame with shrinky dink picture in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Sera unravled on: September 24, 2008 12:03:41 PM
I did this picture frame a while ago.  I painted the frame black and decopauged birds that I cut out of old crochet magazines and some scrapbooking paper.  The bird in the middle is painted on one full sheet of shrinky dink paper.

Comments welcome.  Thanks for looking.

It is for a friend.  I chose Slytherin colors for her cause she is definitely a Slytherin

34  French Squid in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Sera unravled on: April 29, 2008 06:33:28 PM
this is my first time doing amigurumi.  He has 16 tentacles because I didn't keep count until I got almost all the way around.  his mustache is bigger on one side and his shirt is a little crooked.  But I am still happy with the way he turned out. So far he is unnamed.  I have been calling him Squidy but I think he needs a french name.  Any suggestions?

His Beret is really crooked in this picture.  (I think I need more glue)

Here is another picture so you can see his tentacles dangle.  I also fixed his beret.

35  Easy to weave Afghan in Vintage Craft Projects by Sera unravled on: April 28, 2008 11:55:58 AM
A couple of months ago I was visiting my mom and she gave me a huge bag of stuff.  One of the items that was in the bag was this Afghan kit.

She said she gave it to my grandma a long time ago.  My grandma never did anything with it so she gave it back to my mom.  My mom figured that I would like it so she gave it to me rather than throwing it out.

I haven't started on it yet because I'm not sure what color yarn I want to use. (i'm not using the yarn it came with)

Sorry about the crooked scanned picture.

The part that got cut off the bottom was the contents of the kit.
100% Polyester Afghan lace canvas, 17 ozs. of 4 ply dupont acrylic yarn, 5" large eye weaving needle and simplified instructions.

The finished size including fringe is 45 X 65"

36  Re: Little Visitor Swap Round 8 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Sera unravled on: April 18, 2008 06:34:29 AM
I got Kiki today.  She was very excited to get out of her envelope.  After she got out she wanted to zoom around.  She wanted to zoom around in style but all I had at the moment was one of My fiance's little monster trucks.

After zooming around for a while she got hungry.

"Hey Kiki you can't eat that, that's pure sugar."

"There, that's much better.  MMMMM  Pizza."

Here she is Meeting Toby.  They are already best buds.

I've just been informed that Kiki was standing on her head all day. Ooops!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Saturday me and my fiance took Kiki to a Casting Crowns concert.  We had lots of fun.

This is my fiance and Kiki during intermission

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kiki insisted on going to work with me last night.  I told her that she could come along but only if she took a nap.  She agreed.

I told her to stay on her side of the bed, but I guess she wasn't listening, because as soon as I fell asleep she snuggled up right under my chin.

Then it was time to go to work.  She wanted Monsieur Squidy to come with so she wouldn't be lonely.  They decided to stay in my locker so that they could play games.  I thought that that was fine because I figured that they're two responsible stuffies and nothing would happen.

I was wrong.

Kiki is giving Squidy a peck on the cheek.  I wonder what they were really doing in my locker all night.

When Kiki noticed that I saw the two of them "embracing" she jumped up on the dashboard and pretended nothing happened.  I'm gonna have to keep my eye on those two. Cheesy

Finally I have actual pictures of Paco.

Here he is checking the other LVs while listening to Neil Diamond.

Here he is farting in his best friend Chester's face. Cheesy

"I'm hungry, where's the good stuff?"

Paco is ready to go.  He is currently giving Toby the turtle the silent treatment, and told me not to take his picture.

An Iron on patch (she has mad skills)

Pendant number 1 I love those black birdy beads

Pendant number 2  I put this on right when I took it out of the package.

Earings number1

Earings number2 I wore these all day

An absoulute gorgeous panting thats now hanging on my wall.

"A Child's Dream"  When I took this out of the box I kept on saying "She made this!"  This piece is my favorite and is now hanging next to my painting.

She also sent a lot of chocolate (which is almost gone),some brads with birds on them(I could not get a decent picture of them) 3 bird pins from the RSPB, a welsh pin and sticker, a welsh cookbook, her local newspaper and a couple of travel guides.

Thank you so much KatyMai
