These three I'm calling my "Secret Garden" series Smiley I made these for a collage swap, the scanner doesn't like the dimensions so I'll tell you what the quotes say Wink

(P.S. The colors are much truer in the middle one, the scanner just washed it out)

Now, the quotes in order are:

"I never am quite satisfied until there is someplace that I can walk between the flowers."
"Remember the garden and dream new dreams."
"Just living is not enough, said the butterfly. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."

These are my first serious attempts at collage so let me know what you think!!! Thanks everyone Cheesy

I'm soooo uber impressed with that frog!!  Sure wish you and I hadn't already swapped "F's"  Roll Eyes  Can't wait to try the technique!  I'm taking this weekend off from sewing.

JaneD, I admire you mucho for going out of your comfort zone and doing these drawings.  I think they're terrific!

CraftyD, awesome cards. Love the snowglobe idea!

Thank you ever so much Tongue I'm going to be doing a lot more hand-drawn so maybe I'll stop being so pitifully ashamed in my drawings Tongue Not to mention if I get better then I'll feel worthy of trading with all of these marvelous people I've met since I've started these things Wink

Thanks all!  I'm out of the house for a few days, so they'll be no internet access or housecleaning...I should have a bit of time for ATCs!  Look for LOADS of cards to be posted on Wednesday or Thursday.
Also, I'll be able to post DAILY soon, our new scanner (since the old one failed repeatedly) will be here by Friday!  WOOOOHOOO!  I will officially be in the 20th century. Smiley

I'll be waiting!!!! Grin

Daily? Oh. My. God. I'll be able to drool over your cards every day now! Cheesy

I'm with you WIPs Tongue I'm gonna have to buy me a mop! Wink

I made these for a Sunrise/Sunset swap and I would love any comments on them.. they're my first attempts at hand-drawn seeing as.. well, I'm terrible at drawing, but any tips from you master artists would be greatly appreciated Cheesy

EDIT: Silly me... ended up copying the same code three times.. they're all different now Tongue

I did enjoy it Smiley I had to do it twice though because my sharpi didn't like the gesso and got blotchy the first time so I painted over it again and started over Tongue you can't tell when you look at the card though Wink

This is a great little thread here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=136601.0 other than that, just have fun with it!! The ATC-along is a great place for inspiration and new techniques. That's here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=173448.0 (I think I've seen you there already but if not then you can go now!! Wink ) And the technique board (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=136338.0) is chocked full of ideas too Tongue (I know tons of links) Basically, if you look around here there's lots of discussions of experiments, favorites, and all kinds of good stuff. Smiley There aren't really any rules to ATCs other than the size.. you can make them out of anything and about anything so.. as they say around here, Welcome to the addiction!! Tongue

Thank you once again, for the help and sites and etc. By the way, you are correct I have been "monitoring" the ATC-Along board, waiting for an ATC idea to just pounce on me. x) Right now, I'm trying to think of a way to make an ATC without glue or a sewing machine because well, I have no glue and it's 2am and the sewing machine is loud. Soo.. not sure how that's going to work. I literally CAN'T wait to make an ATC. I do have tape.. but that's just.. Ack! Oh this sucks.. I guess I'll have to wait till morning.. or afternoon or whatever. x)

For future reference, acrylic paint holds things together pretty well once it dries Tongue I would suggest buying a gluestick or at least some double stick tape Wink I have more different kinds of sticky stuff than I know what to do with.  Cheesy
