Hey all!  Excited about my first post... I've been making bracelettes for a craft fair I'm doing at the end of October.  I made a few strand bracelettes with a little gold charm made from charms and page pebbles i got at ArtChixStudio.com with images i found from catalogs & magazines.  But the one I think turned out best was the cuff bracelette.  I bought something similar the last time I went to London (sans cute charm!) and wanted to duplicate them and sell them.  Here's the first of many!  Let's hope!!  Smiley

super cute idea.  i never even knew they would have such cute tins.  they'd also be nice for wrapping gifts in a unique and cute way.  Smiley

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: How much does it cost? on: July 23, 2004 02:55:02 PM
to do a minimal listing it's only a few cents.  but you could actually create a "fake" ad and just cancel and not post it at the very end and see how much it costs & how much all of the options cost.

how 'bout "Vintage Iris".  i really like the name Iris - and your stuff definitely has the vintage feel.  besides that... if you can possibly keep it to one word - it always seems more professional & crisp.  Wink  maybe scan thru a dictionary & see what words stick out at you.  good luck!
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Tell me what you think-my new site: theplaidroom.com on: July 20, 2004 02:56:52 PM
site looks great (& that's coming from a web designer of 7+ yrs!).  my one little comment is maybe have an extra "swatch" picture of the items.  particularly the dragonfly bag... i would like to see the detail of that closer... it's soooo cute!

good luck!

i started on some of these magnets this weekend.  getting a head start on christmas presents because i'm planning on doing craft fairs as well.  anyway - used old christmas cards for the images.  turned out QUITE cute.  i'm sure my friends are going to love them!!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: This is awesome! on: July 20, 2004 09:27:39 AM
i wouldn't try making one on your own.  there was an episode of 'changing rooms' on bbc america where they tried to make their own shallow fish tanks and a couple of hours after putting the water in the tank split & burst.  made for good tv - but you probably wouldn't be so happy if it happened in your house.  Wink  i believe they did use just cut glass & silicone.  it just couldn't handle the weight & pressure of the water.
