1  Accordian Wallet/Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Neeterg on: October 26, 2007 01:49:15 PM
Some time ago I posted a question in the help forum for purses, bags, etc., but never got any responses.  I needed a wallet to carry in a tote bag so I could just carry a wallet instead of the whole tote bag.  I normally carry a good sized healthy back bag (Ameribag) and love it, but carrying a tote full of stuff and a big purse is ridiculous. Anyway, I found a wallet/purse pattern called Favorite Things Wallet and used it.  I love bright colors and the fabrics I chose for this are certainly "BRIGHT!"  There's a zipper pocket for change, two long slot pockets for bills and receipts, an accordian card holder, cell phone pocket, pen pocket, etc., etc. There are a couple of things I will change on the pattern (stiffer interfacing for the outside) the next time I make it but it certainly fills the bill for me. How do you like it??

2  Diaper/Travel Bag for baby shower in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Neeterg on: October 26, 2007 01:33:26 PM
A good friend's daughter is preggy and expecting in January.  Her baby shower is next weekend so I wanted to make her a diaper/travel bag.  Her mom said she loves bright colors and I wanted something that she could use that didn't look babyish.  I love bright colors too and I also love batik fabrics so this is what I came up with.  The bag is from a McCalls/Laura Ashley pattern.  My dd loved it so much she wanted to keep it!  Maybe I'll make her one for Xmas!  There are elastic pockets on either end of the outside and an elastic sectioned pocket on the inside.  I love these pockets because things don't usually fall out of them (cell phone).  Anyway, let me know what you think.

3  Accordian Wallet-PIC added 8/27/07 in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by Neeterg on: August 23, 2007 09:23:20 AM
Hi all,

I'm looking for a tutorial or a pattern for a palm-sized accordian wallet that includes a zipper coin section.  I want to make one that attaches to the outside of a purse. I haven't had any luck with "googling" and hope someone here can help.  The photo below is SIMILAR to what I want to make.

Thanks!
