31  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / DIY one piece knitted teddy on: January 10, 2010 09:12:42 AM
I lost my copy of the one piece knitted teddy bear pattern that was featured on Knitty Gritty on the DIY network.  Does anyone have a link to the pattern?  I believe they took the site down.  My daughter knits these teddies and I assemble them for a group that sells hand made items to be sold for charity.  I would really appreciate it if someone might have a copy or direct me to the link.
32  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / SOCK DOLL (a/o GLOVE DOLL) SWAP on: September 02, 2009 02:38:08 PM
I was wondering if anyone might be interested in doing a sock doll swap?  What are your thoughts on this theme?
33  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Doll on: June 28, 2009 12:57:50 PM
This is the doll I made for the first doll swap.  I am rather proud of how it came out.

34  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Crocheted Sock Monkey on: June 28, 2009 12:52:51 PM
I crocheted this sock monkey for the Easy Peasy swap a little while ago.  I thought it came out cute.

35  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Vintage fabric? on: May 24, 2009 11:22:32 AM
I have some fabric I bought in the early to mid 70's.  Would that be considered vintage?
Also when you get new fabric and are going to use it to make something with it, ie: a totebag, do you usually wash the fabric first?
36  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Raggedy Andy Doll on: May 04, 2009 09:27:44 AM
I made this Raggedy Andy doll this summer and I will give it to my granddaughter for her 9th birthday.  Last year I made her a Raggedy Anne and she looked lonely so I thought she might like a friend.

37  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Biscuit Puff Pillow on: February 13, 2009 12:07:43 PM
I made this pillow 2 years ago.  A friend of mine had made one out of old ties and I liked it so much I had to make one.  My daughter had an old dress that no longer fit her and I liked the soft print so I cut up the dress and used that.  It's made of little square puffs that are stuffed from a little slit in the back and stitched together to form strips.  Then the strips are stitched together and a ruffle and backing is put on and the rest of the pillow is stuffed.  Not too long ago, I saw a picture of a quilt for sale and it was made the same way, but I don't think it was hand made.

38  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / JEN'S STUFFED TOYS on: January 29, 2009 11:35:40 AM
Does anyone know how to access "Jen's toy's archive"?
39  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Stuffie swap on: November 21, 2008 06:51:53 PM
We haven't had a stuffy swap for a while.  I think we might be due for another one now.  Anyone interested?  Anyone willing to organize?
40  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / cats/kittens on: October 04, 2008 11:33:02 AM
It seems that many of us craftsters like cats/kittens.  How about a swap wherein we craft cats, ie: crocheted, knitted, sewn, embroidered, made of resin, polymer clay, mosaic or using whatever medium or craft one does.   I don't mean making things for cats, but making cats for us.  Anybody like this idea?
