31  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Vintage fabric? on: May 24, 2009 11:22:32 AM
I have some fabric I bought in the early to mid 70's.  Would that be considered vintage?
Also when you get new fabric and are going to use it to make something with it, ie: a totebag, do you usually wash the fabric first?
32  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Raggedy Andy Doll on: May 04, 2009 09:27:44 AM
I made this Raggedy Andy doll this summer and I will give it to my granddaughter for her 9th birthday.  Last year I made her a Raggedy Anne and she looked lonely so I thought she might like a friend.

33  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Biscuit Puff Pillow on: February 13, 2009 12:07:43 PM
I made this pillow 2 years ago.  A friend of mine had made one out of old ties and I liked it so much I had to make one.  My daughter had an old dress that no longer fit her and I liked the soft print so I cut up the dress and used that.  It's made of little square puffs that are stuffed from a little slit in the back and stitched together to form strips.  Then the strips are stitched together and a ruffle and backing is put on and the rest of the pillow is stuffed.  Not too long ago, I saw a picture of a quilt for sale and it was made the same way, but I don't think it was hand made.

34  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / JEN'S STUFFED TOYS on: January 29, 2009 11:35:40 AM
Does anyone know how to access "Jen's toy's archive"?
35  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Stuffie swap on: November 21, 2008 06:51:53 PM
We haven't had a stuffy swap for a while.  I think we might be due for another one now.  Anyone interested?  Anyone willing to organize?
36  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / cats/kittens on: October 04, 2008 11:33:02 AM
It seems that many of us craftsters like cats/kittens.  How about a swap wherein we craft cats, ie: crocheted, knitted, sewn, embroidered, made of resin, polymer clay, mosaic or using whatever medium or craft one does.   I don't mean making things for cats, but making cats for us.  Anybody like this idea?
37  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Tea towels for embroidery on: August 12, 2008 09:28:42 AM
What do you use for embroidering tea towels?  I saw some flour sack towels in Walmart the other day.  Are they suitable for embroidery?
38  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Butterflies anyone? on: August 06, 2008 12:16:17 PM
How's about butterflies for a future swap?  This might be a nice theme.
39  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Stalking how to.. on: May 30, 2008 12:50:52 PM
I'm sure there must be a way to do this.  On occasion, I would like to check out posts made by a particular Craftster.  I know I can do this for my own username, but I'm not sure if, or how I can check out someone else's posts.  Can anyone help me?
40  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / KITCHEN THEME SWAP on: January 27, 2008 12:38:36 PM
I originally mentioned this on the flower swap, but I guess it is best to separate it.  Anyone in for a kitchen swap?  You can make towels, place mats, pot holders, pan handle covers, oven mitts, casserole covers, and the list goes on.....
