31  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Chanukah on: January 24, 2008 02:40:06 PM
I know this is really early, but Does anyone have any crafty ideas for Chanukah?  It is extremely hard to find any craft patterns with a Chanukah theme.  I like to crochet do plastic canvas and do some sewing. I know how to knit (but don't enjoy it as much as crocheting.)
32  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / FLOWER SWAP on: January 24, 2008 10:26:13 AM
I have an idea for a swap that I don't think has ever been done.  A flower swap.  The flowers can be crocheted, knitted, beaded, sewn, made of plastic canvas, ceramic, polymer clay, bread dough or what have you.

Another swap can be a kitchen swap.  Not just potholders or dishcloths, but anything kitchen related.  IE: towels, hot plate pads, trivets, bun covers, etc.
33  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Kittens on: January 10, 2008 10:44:57 AM
My daughter and I collaborated on these kittens.  She likes to knit but doesn't like to assemble.  So I put them together and put on the facial features.  The pattern came from :  Angry t-rex roars  http://geobabe.livejournal.com/227621.html

Here is our kittens...I think they are cute and cuddly...

This is a magic ball granny that I have already completed.  I am still working on the one I previously posted.  These scrapghans will go to Linus.

35  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Raggedy Ann on: September 15, 2007 04:39:18 PM
I made this Raggedy Ann doll this summer.  I used an old McCall's pattern.  I think it turned out cute.  I'm giving it to my granddaughter for her birthday.

36  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Plarn for plastic canvas on: September 15, 2007 04:35:39 PM
This is a box I made using "plarn" on plastic canvas.  I still have to sew on a button and make a button loop, to close the box.  You can also make a box with a separate lid.

37  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / My Magic Ball Granny on: September 06, 2007 01:25:31 PM
Here is a WIP of my magic ball rectangular granny I am making for the Lunus Organization.

38  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stretchy Glove Doll on: September 06, 2007 01:20:34 PM
I saw this project on Carol Duvall a while back.  It is a doll made with those inexpensive one-size-fits-all stretchy gloves.  I have a finished doll and one in the process....

39  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / BUNNIES on: September 06, 2007 01:12:12 PM
Here are some bunnies my daughter and I made.  My daughter knit them and I assembled, stuffed and embroidered them.  The 2 big ones are "Peter Rabbit"  and the tiny bunny, I think I found somewhere on this Craftster site. The small pink one is from "Artsy Fartsy Mama".

40  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Plastic Grocery Bag Totes on: September 06, 2007 12:58:55 PM
Here are pictures of 2 plastic bag totes I crocheted out of plastic bags. The tan one has a zipper and is purse sized.  It looks like a summer straw bag.  The white one has a loop and button closure.  They are both lined with muslin.  I designed them myself.
