1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / How do I make my own wreath form? on: February 26, 2015 01:59:07 PM
I'm working on a project with a few other women.  We are using supplies we each have on hand and don't want to spend too much $$ for additional supplies.  We are making fabric tulips and felt leaves.  We can get some brass rings to use instead of a wreath but I don't think it would look well.  I read that you can use pipe insulation and fit it around a wire hanger.  Although the insulation might be relatively cheaper than wreath form, you would still have to wrap it with some ribbon or fabric.  I guess you can also use a cheap pool noodle from a dollar store, but you would have the same problem and besides, it's out of season now.  Does anyone else have some inexpensive ideas?  I'd really appreciate it.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / TULIPS on: January 19, 2015 02:03:28 PM
I would like to make some fabric tulips.  I've searched the web and found only 1 pattern.  Perhaps some of you sewists can tell me if there are any site/blogs out there that would have a pattern to sew tulips.  I prefer a free pattern.
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / STOCKING FACES on: June 22, 2014 11:30:20 AM
I recently acquired a bag of stocking faces.  There are over a dozen in assorted sizes; they remind me of a bunch of mushrooms.  I'm looking for ideas of what I could craft wtih them.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / STOCKING HEADS on: May 31, 2014 10:11:41 AM
I was given a bunch of stocking heads.  I'd like to use them is crafts.  I was thinking of perhaps making some sort of ornaments with them such as elves etc.  Does anyone have any ideas (or patterns where I can substitute the stocking heads) to make ornaments?

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Where can I find pattern & Directions for a napkin holder on: April 06, 2013 10:22:25 AM
I saw a napkin holder that is like a basket.  It is a square of plastic canvas and 4 narrow strips on all sides, covered with fabric.  The excess fabric on the corners are pinched together and tied with a little ribbon bow.  I think I've also seen this as a larger basket that can be used as a bread basket.
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / FROG PATTERNS on: January 14, 2012 11:54:50 AM
Does anyone know where I can get free frog patterns?  All I seem to find are beanbag style frogs.

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / ISO owl granny potholder on: April 16, 2011 11:58:51 AM
I saw a picture of a potholder made from 2 granny squares. the top granny looks like it is folded in 1/2 and the bottom has the points facing side to sdide and top to bottom.  It has 2 circles on either side under the top part to resemble eyes.  Would anyone have the pattern or the link to the pattern for this?
