1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Make your own hex stitchalong on: January 02, 2008 02:25:59 PM
I was collecting a few patterns on the net, and came across a Pennsylvania Dutch style hex on needlecrafter http://www.needlecrafter.com/patterns.html . Just look under geometric for the hex patterns. I did a little bit a reserch on them, and they can mean different things according to the colors and the shapes. They are very pretty, and I thought it would make a fun stitchalong. Here's a site with the symbols and meanings http://www.folkart.com/education/hex/.

I'm working on a different pattern, but as soon as it's done I'm going to start on one of these. I'm really looking forward to getting started on one. You can use a pattern that's already made or try to make your own. Would anyone be interested in stitching a hexalong with me? lol  Cheesy
