I went through a very rough patch in my life and a friend I had made years earlier that I was out of touch with came to my rescue. She is a VERY proud San Francisco Giants (Major League Baseball) fan and very proud of being a lesbian. She helped me out a LOT (lost my career, had people speaking poorly of me, family issues, etc) and was exactly what I needed to get back on track. I consider her and my boyfriend my two angels here on earth because I went through an absolute hell.. anyway.. I decided (since I don't have a job) to make her something I knew she'd like.. so I made a beanie (she wears her hair either very very veryyyy short or with a mohawk and SF Giants games at AT&T park are COLLLD so I knew this would be a decent idea).. here's pictures (sorry taken with my palm pre camera because I was so anxious to show her):
It's actually not as squished as it might appear in the photo above.. (and I realized AFTER sewing it that the LGBT flag doesn't have TWO different blues in it.. whoops..)
and then the picture below is the side view-- before I added the rainbow/giants panel in the front:
I am SUPER proud and will be delivering it to her tomorrow.. I had scoured the 'net for any tutorial that fit my needs and ended up at Joann Fabrics buying Green Pepper Fleece Chullo Hat and adjusting it.. I added the mohawk-ish part and changed the length of it a bit..
Hope you like it
