1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Zydrate on: March 09, 2009 01:14:17 PM
Zydrate comes in a little glass vial
and the little glass vial goes into the gun like a battery...
and the gun goes somewhere against your anatomy
and when the gun goes off it sparks
and you're ready for surgery!

This. Is. Awesome.

You Rock!

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Rice Heating/cooling Pack on: December 14, 2008 09:36:41 AM
I think this is a good place for these questions...
I'm making some rice heating packs for xmas gifts and I'm wondering if I can use scents that I have to scent soaps in the rice packs.

And, I want to attach a tag with heating/cooling instructions and was wondering if anyone knew of a cute poem or just an easy way to word the instructions?

Thanks so much
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / New Home Starter kit? on: November 27, 2008 07:12:42 PM
My sister just announced that she has a goal to be moved out of my parents house and into her own apartment by Feb. 27th.  She is really set on doing this, so I thought it would be a good idea to put together like  a starter kit of things she will need for her house like dishes etc. What are some things that are necessities for starting a new household?  I'd really like to DIY alot of it.  I can do just about anything and what I don't know how to do, I am willing to try, so please, provide me with a list and links to any tutes you may have!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: My crafty baby shower! on: November 14, 2008 06:49:42 PM
Cealy- Thanks!  and a diaper raffle is where you tell your guests to bring a pack of diapers to the shower and they will be entered into a raffle to win something.  In this case, my aunt works at a salon so she is donating a manicure and pedicure plus putting together a  basket full of lotions and stuff!  We invited 135ppl so hopefully I'll get lots of diapers! (and if I get too many of one size, I can always take them back and exchange them!)

Thanks for the congrats!

And my mom used size 1 diapers because she figures I'll get a lot of newborn since we are doing a diaper raffle at the shower.

Oh and I will definitely be taking this apart! lol
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: My crafty baby shower! on: November 14, 2008 02:17:44 PM
Well, I'm a first time mom so I'm not sure if I'll use all of them or not, but my mom has had four girls and she seems to think so.  And I'm not having twins (thank goodness lol!) I barely know how I'm gonna handle one! I'll tell my mom you like the cake, she'll be excited Wink

And you don't necessarily have to use that many diapers.  you could just make a small cake from one package.  My mom just likes to go over the top  Tongue

ok, so the shower hasn't officiall happened yet..it's a week from tomorrow, but we are now done with every crafty thing that needed to be done!  I'm so excited!  So without further ado, here are the pics!

Diaper Cake my mom made for me! It has about 345 diapers in it!

These are our favors they are supposed to look like baby booties and are made from an 8 oz. styrofoam cup. A tut can be found here: http://www.creative-baby-shower-ideas.com/baby-bootie-cups.html

We made NINETY ONE of these things!

This is one of the game books we made.  Instead of passing out a bunch of pieces of paper, we put them into a book.  This is the cover.

one of the pages inside the book.  This is the baby bingo game.

and the last page has a thank you poem that's supposed to be from baby.

and this isn't too crafty, but still we rolled 100 rolls of silverware!

I hope you like everything! Comments appreciated!!
