1  Jewelry Gift Boxes in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by daisycurls on: November 11, 2011 06:32:17 AM

With the holidays just around the corner,I thought I'd make some boxes for my jewelry creations.
I made a simple pattern and put them in a pdf (put into google documents) just for your personal use.
This is my first tutorial so it might be a bit picture heavy Embarrassed
Bracelet Box
Ring Box
Necklace Box Top
Necklace Box Bottom
Necklace Box Incert

Closed and looking pretty.Necklace Box,Bracelet Box, and Ring Box

Open and filled with goodies Smiley

Now for the Tutorial:

Print out your desired box (I printed mine on card stock)

Cut on the dotted line.

Score and fold on the red line. I used a stylus and a ruler . You can also use a ball point pen that is out of ink to score. I use a ruler to make sure the line is straight.

Have a friendly helper Wink

Stamp it,color it,or keep it plain.

Glue edges

Press tight

Necklace box top

Glue Box bottom tabs

Bottom of the bottom box

Top of the bottom box

Top of the bottom box put together

Insert for box

Box parts ready to be assembled

Assembling Necklace box

Use a piece of Velcro with adhesive. I didn't have any so I used a regular piece and glued it on.

Press on the velcro

Add a nice bow

Add Necklace

Slides right in

For an upcyling option. Print out pattern.

Trace to a cereal box. Follow previous instructions.

Tada..An unique up-cycled jewelry box

Instead of using velcro on this one. I punched two holes in the sleeve part ,one on the flap of the bottom  and strung ribbon threw to make a nice little bow.

Many thanks to my wonderful husband for helping me figure out Microsoft Publisher for the templates and to my daughter Riann for taking pictures.

2  Re: Tutorial: Men's t shirts into cowl neck dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by daisycurls on: September 19, 2011 12:16:17 PM
I just made mine the other day and used t-shirts way to big on me!

So I took it in and eliminated the pockets:

Thanks for the Tut it was a bunch of fun also it's saving me money as my hubby and I have been on a keto diet loosing inches like crazy Smiley I'm trying to refashion items in our closets rather than buying a whole new wardrobe before I get down to my goal. He is pretty much at his goal(he lost 80lbs) I'm about 40lbs away from mine.

3  Snowmen,Reindeer and a train made from wine corks in Winter Holidays by daisycurls on: December 04, 2009 02:11:06 PM

I found these two tutorials

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...s-projects.com

http://www.ehow.com/how_4780001_make...ornaments.html

I didn't have some of the supplies so I made due with what I did have.
The texture on the snowmen is ground up dry rice mixed with paint.

After making the snowmen and reindeer I was goofing around with some wine corks and got the idea to make this train. (I have an unusual amount of wine corks,my neighbors husband is a chief and a nice restaurant and gives me bags of them when I ask)

The train is made from wine corks, toothpicks, hot glue, paint and rice(it's the coal) also a handful of eye hooks
