1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / HI from PA on: February 07, 2008 09:40:50 AM
I don't remember if I ever did the intro thing.  If I already did-whoops!

Anyway I love this site and all the amazing talent I've seen.  Hoping to make some good friends here

I knit and attempt to sew, glue, whatever.  I'm in Chester County, PA

Hi everyone!
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / DUH on: February 07, 2008 07:09:28 AM
I'm not a very good sewer.  AT ALL.  Last night I got a pattern in the mail for the Burda Dachshund stuffed animal.  I was so excited and determined to make him.  So I cut out all my pieces just as it said and started sewing him.  He was looking pretty good.  And I was worried about the head gusset because I don't understand them and I basted it by hand then machine stitched it carefully.  But the head came out so pretty and looked really good.

Then I realized I'd sewn the legs on the outside.  completely backwards.  @#$%@#

so I had to start over.  DUH.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Felted sheep on: February 05, 2008 09:20:58 AM

Hi everyone.  I'm kind of a newbie and I've never knitted anything in my life other than a dishcloth.  For my Goddaughter's 1st birthday I thought I'd be ambitious and make her a toy.  So here's Gimpy the sheep (he has a bum leg) from Fibertrend's felted sheep pattern.

4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Food Books? on: May 24, 2007 08:36:47 AM
Hi Everybody!
I am new to this site and totally addicted to making little stuffies.  I'm trying to find a couple of good Japanese felt food books.  Can anyone recommend a couple with ISBN numbers.  I've seen some on ETSY and Ebay, but I'd rather try for yesasia or amazon jp and I can't find the ISBN's for them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks!          Smiley
