12  January GRANNY-A-WEEK crochet a long! in Crochetalongs by that1girl on: January 01, 2015 11:03:01 AM

This is basically a motivation crochetalong. If you want to work on a granny square, motif, one huge granny square blanket, this is a great way to set aside time everyday to get some serious work completed in an attainable amount of time.

People have come up with some really neat uses for grannys too! Different bags and blankets, shopping sack holder, slippers, scarves, a nifty pullover etc.

If you are intrested and would like to join we would love to see your work! Post pics of progress and then at the end of the month post a pic of al that you accomplished! It would be great if everyone could post progress weekly (but not required). At the end of the month we can piece together our work and show off our afghans and Inga bags and whatever else you can come up with to make with nifty grannies! (Must post a completed project or progress pic in this thread.)

You can find many of the other threads in the crochet-a-long section to see how we have done it before!

18  Re: 50 Projects 2015 --POST YOUR 2015 Lists in Craftalongs by that1girl on: December 31, 2014 05:30:41 AM
When did you first get into crafting?  Do you have a fond memory of one of the first things you ever made?  How did you feel about making something? Do you have any pictures of your project or of you at that time?

i would say i was born crafting, art class was always my favorite.

I used to hand sew barbie cloths on to my barbies. so i would have to cut it off. my grandma felt bad for me so she gave me some Velcro.

in middle school i was on of four people in art club. in high school my English class teacher was into scrap-booking so, she made the class make senior books. and i fell in love with scrap-booking for like four year.

until i learned to knit/crochet/sew in 2008 and loved it

now random old pictures

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v221/sweet419femme/102_1802.jpg

learning to crochet and knit, i flip flop on the two to find my comfort place. i learned to crochet first just from book, knitting i had to join a crafting group to get help from others.
