Honestly, Gallstones, I think we could become friends. I appreciate people whom can carry on an intelligent conversation- even if we don't agree on everything. : )

Well, heck, I sure hope so.

BTW, who are Bob and Susie?

I really don't have sympathy, I really don't feel empathy and I don't really care. I don't make a point of exhibiting that, I never indulge in cruelty. But I will not entertain, what I consider, a dysfunctional personality trait. I value honesty and truth more than reputation, more than friendship...

I too, value truth and honesty. But it feels like a persons sensitivity, in your eyes, is a character flaw to be rooted out. I disagree. I will give examples.

A homogenous group of people are standing around the water cooler. Bob tells a joke about black people. Everybody laughs but Susie. Susie says "I really don't care for jokes like that. Can we change the topic please?"
Now if Bob and everybody else says "oh lighten up! you know I'm not recist!", who is being the jerk? Susie for voicing her opinion? or Bob because he ignored and discounted Susies opinion?

This quote of mine is taken somewhat out of context.
Please don't overlook where I say "I NEVER INDULGE IN CRUELTY". I consider hate to be an indulgence in cruelty.

In the watercooler example above, I would not hesitate to call the teller of the joke on the carpet for telling a racist, ethnic, sexist etc. "joke". What I don't care about and have no sympathy for is any embarrassment the joke teller or the other listeners might feel as a result. I hope that makes my mind set more clear.

Ooops, forgot to say, GREAT bug Gallstones!
Thank you Tee. I'm hoping to influence the voting Wink

I'm going to keep my eye on this thread till the theme is decided.

For challenges, we are not partnered up, we just make a card (cards) and then post them here or in a gallery thread. And then people can offer to trade if they have a hankering for a particular card.

Is this correct?

Speaking of sooo yesterday and sooo overdone, that would be mermaids, fairies and angels. And Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

I'll participate with insects or illustrated quotes.

Update:
My items and their design are settled and all research is complete. I am dyeing fabric, have made needed patterns and began to cut out the pieces.

Didn't want anyone to think I was slacking.

You used freezer paper?!
They are very well done. I didn't know you could get so much detail and such crisp stencils from freezer paper.

You have a real talent for design. I am not a fimo fan, but I admire the way you use it. Lovely work.
