i have indeed tried E6000, while it is my go-to glue for pretty much everything it doesn't work for this particular project. i do believe i've tried fabritac as well, the grosgrain has a special tendency to dislike the fabric glues that work on all other fabrics. thanks for the ideas tho!

such a clever idea for a gift, and so well made! would love to know what type of glue you used - all the glues i've tried to use with grograin (or any ribbon for that matter) bleeds through. can you share the kind you use?

i was she-ra a few years ago (although, not quite as busty  ) and i made my crown from thin craft foam. it took the gold paint well, had no trouble holding the gem i glued to it, or the staples i used to connect it. it stayed together all night and in fact, is still intact.
