1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Coffee All Round! on: August 07, 2009 10:24:38 AM
Haven't posted anything here for ages, making lots but never seem to get proper pictures. Anyway here are 3 coffee date dresses from Burdastyle's free pattern, I love how they turn out and always think they're easy until I make another then it all comes flooding back! But I think I've almost got them down now!

Most recent one, ignore the odd face please! The fabric was 50p/m and I already had the zip so this dress cost less than 1!

First one I made, also with 50p/m material and free zip.

And one without a ruffle with highly expensive 1.99/m ikea fabric Wink

Thanks for looking Smiley

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / A Little Late For Valentines.. on: February 21, 2009 08:56:32 AM

Just a little brooch I made last night, I always have a nightmare covering buttons so I'm amazed this turned out right!

It's made with the biggest vintage button I had in my stash and some fabulous glittery material that is destined to be a bag....one day  Roll Eyes it's backed with felt and a little badge pin.

Hope you like Smiley

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Ants in my Pants (almost) and a bag of ants too on: February 04, 2009 02:23:37 PM
I haven't had time to look on here for so long it would seem never mind post! So to get me back in the swing of things here's a dress I finally made last week (and actually finished! I have a whole cupboard full of half finished dresses...)  Undecided

Yup big ol ants! People seem to like that I made it myself but politely don't mention the ants Wink

Pretty much copied from a space print dress I made before - which apparently I still haven't posted - but of course I didn't write down any measurements or make a pattern so it was mainly made up as I went along  Shocked

Always enjoy sewing on metres of bias binding by hand...

Enough rambling!

And I've now finished the matching bag Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Love is in the air.... on: February 13, 2008 10:22:36 AM
I may not be loved up but clearly this time of year still gets to me! Same pattern and lining as the velvet one I posted yesterday but far less stressful second time around!
Hope you like

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / flowery velvet bag on: February 12, 2008 10:38:44 AM
I was so annoyed by this bag I very nearly threw it in the bin this morning! But it's done now and I'm really happy with it Smiley It's a pattern I've not used before but now I know it's particular quirks I'm eager to try it again! The material is printed velvet which was really easy to work with and the lining is pink and red striped cotton. There's 2 pleats in each side - these are what caused most of my headaches!
Hope you like...

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Superman Messenger on: February 10, 2008 05:01:22 AM
As seems to be my routine I made this out of the leftovers from making a dress (which I'll post when it's sunny enough to model it!) Love this material! Same pattern as the spiderweb one i posted the other day - almost know that pattern off by heart now!

Comments please!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / spiderweb-y messenger on: February 07, 2008 10:02:17 AM
Ended up making messenger bags for all the men i know for Christmas in brown cord but forgot to take pics (story of my life) but here is one in my favourite web material (I've also made a dress and 2 carrier bags and still have plenty left!) Has 2 divider pockets inside and a zip pocket on the outside flap Smiley

The bottom's not wonky it just looks that way!

Sorry the pics are so big - I'm having photobucket issues Wink

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Cool Cord Cummerbund on: October 23, 2007 08:46:05 AM
I apologise for the title  Roll Eyes

I've made loads of stuff lately but never seem to get around to posting it so I'm hoping this will kick start me into taking more pics and actually posting some of it!

This is from a pattern i bought from a car boot sale ages ago (funky 80's pics on the packet Wink) Fairly easy to do once i got the hang of the folding instructions...

Meant to take better pics with my tuxedo shirt but I doubt its ever gonna happen!
