I couldn't let the rest of the material from those boots I reconned go to waste... so I made what is now known as- Franken Clutch.
The closier is from an old coin pouch, I sewed the material from the boots together, used the lining from an old trench coat... and there he, 'er she... be.
Ok... so a while back I got these boots. I knew I probably wouldn't wear'em, but they were only 3 bucks at the thrift shop so yeah... snatched'em.
Anyway- they were really messed up from the previous owner, the material was stretched out horribly, so the black was just peeling off. I decided to fix'em, and make'em into someting I WILL wear. So here goes the transformation... Enjoy.

Knee high drab black boots (Before shots):
Say hello to Peekaboo- the bad kitty that decided this spot was his >.< :
Now we have the aftermath (sort of... not complete yet, we'll get there):
NOW... we have the painted finished product (though I wish they were brighter):
(BTW- There ARE leaves on those cherries... but they were just not bright enough to show up on camera)
I got invited to a wedding- 2 days before the wedding, and I had NO frikkin' clue what I was gonna wear/do...
I figured out an outfit, but of course, I had no bag to match, and I just wasn't gonna have that... so, instead, I go on a color matching hunt through my stuff, and remembered a few days prior, my mother asked if I wanted some brand new undies that she just bought (apparently they were too small for her o.o'). Since they were, uhm, rather large >.< , AND yellow- exactly what I needed, I was able to use them to my advantage. I used a bit of an older black t-shirt as well, and came up with a small pattern for a wristlet.
...and VOILA! (<-sp?) My new wristlet was born (the morning OF the wedding.) Hope ya like it.

The Last minute wristlet...
Front view/opened latch (the black button is velvet)
Inside view (no lining again o.o')
ACTION! (...note them smexy stripedy jammy pants- ha)
It's grey- however, it still turned out quite well. It looks a little beat up at the moment due to a lot of being tossed around and stomped on (5 and 6 year old boys.) This isn't my first duct tape item... of course I made a wallet (who hasn't?), some roses, etc... Other than that enjoy.

Inside the purse (you can barely see the stuff in it, but it's yarn and floral tape... I dunno)-
I made this little guy for my youngest nephews birthday recently... he loved it! ^_^
He's made from camo material, a dark green hand towel, a neon yellow/green washcloth (patched together), and a few small scrap white linen pieces- buttons for eyes... yes, I added on my tag. ^_^ Gotta give myself credit ya know.
The pics are terrible I know... but it's all I can manage> sorry.
First attempt at these 'tote-packs'... I personally think they turned out quite well... The boys seem to love'em, and that's really all that matters. They're lined and are reversable. Made out of pillowcases (< very versatile objects, yes?). The batman tote-pack was pretty easy, but my sewin' machine gave me hell on the straps, the Sidey tote on the otherhand... BLAH! Had ta do some special attachments and adjustments, but turned out fine. Please feel free to tell me what y'all think.
I completed this Friday night. It's a "throw together" project... used 2 very old wash cloths (used to belong to my grandmother), some really old buttons (used to belong to my mother), and a chop stick. O.o
There's no lining in it, due to the fact there was no room to add it in, it would've shrunk the bag too much. Oh, and I apologize for these pics, and those to come... all I have is a VERY crappy web cam and it's all fuzzy lookin'.
Lemme know what y'all think.
