1  Re: Show me your doodles! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by SkiTzCoRe on: July 23, 2007 01:49:28 PM
Odd... I went to take care of some business today, and ended up getting very bored while waiting- which in turn led to the following. I haven't doodled in forever, but today... I did. ^_^

(This was done in one of those little travel notebooks- at least it wasn't my arm this time. >.<)

3  Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by SkiTzCoRe on: July 05, 2007 12:52:45 AM
This is my first and only tat as of right now, but I've designed several more I plan to get done. This one, I also drew up myself... it was made for my son...

Unfortunately, it's extremely blurry, and I couldn't get a better shot... but what it says, if you can't make it out, is:

               R.I.P.
               Adam
1-09-01 My Angel 1-10-01

It has a sort of tribal heart around the name, teal wings, and a small rose beneath it all. Adam was my oldest son Zachary's twin brother.

4  Celtic Knots of sorts... (Pic heavy) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by SkiTzCoRe on: July 05, 2007 12:44:54 AM
Here's a very large drawing I did a long while back... I used nothing but my hands and the pencils, no tools for sizing...

Also- a smaller cross I did on that scratch paper... black with silver beneath.

Now the small frie:

...And just 'cause I'm lazy right now, here's some roses that I'm throwin' in, 'cause I don't wanna post a WHOLE other seperate post just for them. >.<

5  A more 'personal' note- WARNING! Partial Nudity- Female perspective here... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by SkiTzCoRe on: July 05, 2007 12:37:50 AM
Start with the story first and then move on to the angelic section yeah?

Title: Reflections

Description: This is a drawing of a girl that is over-weight, and much like the rest of the world... she is affected by the media (magazines,T.V., etc..). She's looking at herself in the mirror, and as many young girls do, she's imagining herself as a skinny, beautiful girl. It seems to her that everything and evryone around her is beautiful... but not her, the truth however, is- she IS beautiful- as are many of us that fail to see that about ourselves. So next time when you look at yourself in the mirror, see yourself as beautiful and not a reflection of the imagination.

9  'Queen Of Procrastination & Last Minute Glory From Leftovers' (Pic Ginormic) in CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES by SkiTzCoRe on: July 04, 2007 06:51:45 PM
(I made a few changes, hope you can see it better)

Ha! I was trying to talk myself out of it, but of course I read this challenge when it was first posted... kept on sayin' no... waited waited and waited, and here it is... the day before the last day and I decided to do it anyway. >.<

The title suits me very well- considering the circumstances... and that's how I roll... last minute everything, not to mention the stuff I used to complete it- which are as follows:

-Left over sticks from a Father's Day project
-Numerous Paper Clips
-Left over magnetic strip (I have NO clue where it came from) to form the base
-A silver beaded chain
-Safety pins (oh yes... the thing I am well known for in my family- my mother (on several occassions) calls me "The Safety Pin Queen")
-Black fishnets
-3D paper stars/ Legal paper
-Blue X-Mas ribbon (for the bow)
-Aluminum (that's what Mr.Skully is made from)
-A Black sharpie for Mr.Skully's face

I don't know if you can REALLY see the detail... but the safety pins and skull of course form a skull and crossbones, the bottom safety pins are in a zig-zag design at the base, and the bigger safety pins aren't closed, so it forms a more spread out "crownish" look.

Hope y'all like it... I know I've seen some I absolutely adore.

10  Butsket and Wasnut earings? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by SkiTzCoRe on: July 03, 2007 12:07:49 AM
They're really not that special, but I like'em... they were a rainy day project...

Made out of buttons and gaskets... and washers and nuts... thusly giving them their names.  Grin cheesy, no?

The first pair (Butskets) were put together using pins, drape hooks, these really old but cool flat-flap buttons, and thick black washers.

The second pair (Wasnuts) were put together using earing hooks, floral wire (green), and of course, washers and nuts. Enjoy. ^_^
