I made this about a year ago, but JUST discovered Craftster recently (can't you tell?)!  My sister-in-law asked me to make the baby's cake for my niece's first birthday (she would buy the big cake for everyone else).  So I did it... after learning cake decorating, buying supplies, doing 2 test runs, and spending four hours decorating the cake...

Okay, not perfect, but I learned from a book... I never got a thank you from the SIL... so maybe some of my dear Craftsters will appreciate?

gorgeous!  I think you have inspired the next blankets that I will be making for my twin neice(s)/nephew(s)!!!

How soft is the cotton yarn?  I've considered using it, but I've been wondering how softly it knits up as a blanket.

adorable!  Thanks for posting... I just realized that the star baby blanket pattern I had saved was a CROCHET pattern.  Duh.  But now I have this!  I think I might make one that looks like a flower too... with yellow in the center.  hmm...  thanks!!
