I told my husband about the swap and he says I should do it and he'd help me (translation: "I want in").  I'm signing up right now.  hah!

tempted to sign up... don't know if I have the time to participate right now though.  I just watched the first season for the first time... how about a book on how to speak in the Red Room?!  I try dancing like the man all the time.

BTW, has anyone seen Eraserhead by Lynch? ... "Interesting" is the best I can muster.
85  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Want to recommend infant hat pattern for a boy? on: June 19, 2007 06:39:17 PM
Oh, those cable hats are really pretty! Do you think there's a way to modify them to a bigger size?

I THINK on the 5 cable hat you can add on in increments of 14 stitches... because it looks like the cable pattern is 14 stitches each.  Anyone have any input?

On the 10 cable hat I am stymied... it looks like 6 or 8 stitches per cable.

The umbilical cord hat rocks!  I also like these... in fact I will be making a couple this week:

88  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting Haiku on: June 18, 2007 11:43:41 PM
dog fur in my yarn
look, a wool sweater for you
with hints of Blue, oops.

stitches drop quickly
expletives uttered loudly
knitting: relaxing?

ooh that was fun.  I just taught my students haiku and they started writing them about each other.  writing about knitting is much better than writing about 12 year olds.

cute hat!  I think I will cast on for that tonight.

BTW, the clown wig really complements the scarf.  I'm terrified of clowns.   Grin
