11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Attention Bloggers on: August 12, 2004 10:19:27 AM
I checked my blog this morning and found someone had posted a bunch of anime porn links to my comments section---i have their ip address, though am not sure there is anything i can do to prevent this from happening again! Any one else who is blogging should be aware of this--check your site on a regular basis! It really burns my ass when some asswioe thinks it's amusing to post this crap----there are 11ty billion venues on the web for this garbage and i advise them to post there with all their other little freakfriends!

13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Birka? Knotting? on: August 03, 2004 09:34:58 AM
There was an Ithra (class) at the Clinton War about this---it looks like celtic knotwork done with cording----i can't find any information on the web about it labelled as birka---Birka seems to be a card weaving form of fibre work, not a knotting technique. One of my friends did a purple  rat-tail cording band of it and another a wider chunk in a metallic soutache--absolutely gorgeous! Looks more like the chinese knotting techniques we see on their decorative arts. If anyone has any information about this please let me know. Am going to see if Ed can lend me the handout he got in the class and i will post it here.
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Making shorts more "girlie" on: July 19, 2004 12:35:36 PM
I got tired today of shopping for shorts and finding only tightee hip huggers or bessy-bloomers---so i went to the men's department and found some really cool boxers/shorts in Taz, Spiderman and SpongeBob prints--i'm adding lace, ruffles, sequins, bows, fringe---you name it!! They're comfortable, the right length, and i can personalize them anyway i want!!! The bonus is that they're cheaper than the women's dept ($5-15 as opposed to $15-85!); the same goes for tshirts and tanks---just "girlie" them up a little if your taste isn't as spare and plain as men's are!
15  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Introducing myself on: July 13, 2004 10:14:11 AM
Hi, just thought i'd introduce myself and couldn't decide where to post first! I live in Edmonton Aberta, am a floral designer as a dayjob but at night the sewing wings come out and i create wearable art.
Is it polite of me to post a link to my design blog? It will kiid of give you an idea of what/where i am. I feel so lonely sometimes here in cyberspace; it would be nice to meet up with some likeminded threadheads!
